Usually there is a challenge balancing the good and bad in commenting on our experiences but this time it is too easy. We have been on the road for months now and enjoying beautiful and challenging State campgrounds all across the US South-West. While some have been pure gems, some have been....well, not so much. Oceano Campground is, without doubt,...

This campground has me at a loss. While the campground itself is nice and clean it’s right off the main road in an area that is just ok. I have a popup camper so I use the campground facilities and when you wake up at 3am to do your thing and you see people going through the trash can looking...

Great location and site, trees and lots of room. Restrooms were run down and not very many, showers hard to get to. Maybe staying in the RV section would have been better, burt more expensive. Nice little hike to the beach where everyone is driving on it. access is available, but not sure of the rules. This is right on...

My family and I stayed here last week for 5 days. The first and last time that will ever happen. The female Rangers are just terrible! I don't know if they feel like they have something to prove or what, but they are the rudest, most unfriendly bunch of women I've ever encountered and they are on a complete power...

Noisy and busy but we enjoyed it. Not a place to relax its more for xtreme sports. Decent prices 10 bucks a night but beware you need to make sure to reserve ahead of time especially during summer. By noon pottys were out of toilet paper not cool 😜

Two campgrounds here. One for RVs with water and electric hookups only, and one specializing in tent camping with no hookups, but fresh water access. The paths are fantastic for walking, jogging, birdwatching, lots of seating along the water for meditation, reading, or just watching nature. Not crowded even when full. The RV sites are large and roomy, and the...

For $5 you can drive you vehicle onto the beach and hang out, local-style. We had a blast just cruising along the coastline, stopping, picking up shells, and driving some more. One recommendation, if you're gonna take your own vehicle onto the beach make sure to give it a quick bath afterwards since the sand and saltwater tend to destroy...

Arrived September 5th 2014. Called ahead of time to make sure there was no problems with two motorcycles being trailered behind our motorhome. They said it was fine, but we might have to pay an extra fee for the third vehicle. When we arrived they didn't want to let us in because counting the trailer that the motorcycles were on,...

The campground was fairly well maintained, but the location was less than desirable. It's a long block walk to the beach that is full of noisy ATV, etc. The campground is surrounded by homes and businesses, so if you are looking for peace, quiet and to get away...this is not the place.

I stayed here as part of a G Adventures touring group for 1 night and enjoyed my stay here. The campsite is very clean with a chilled out feel to it. The campsite is right next to the beach where you can chill and watch the sunset. Would highly recommend to couples and families.
