We stopped here for a night on a road trip when returning from Palm Springs to the Bay Area with our 5 and 1 year old. We have stayed at many places (pre Covid) and this was hands down the best family hotel. The rooms are very spacious and ours had direct ocean views. There is an enormous and very high quality play yard area that kids of all ages love. Most hotels’ kid facilities are an after thought (old, broken, in a forgotten corner) but this was bright, new and very well stocked. Our kids were beyond happy to play there and kept saying this is the best hotel ever. We also appreciated the included breakfast as well as how the hotel managed safety precautions. Much of the hotel is outside and the few indoor areas (like breakfast pick up or reception desk) they had clearly posted signs limiting how many could be inside. All the guests seemed to respect this and though the hotel was decently busy it never felt unsafe. Finally the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful - had great recommendations for dinner etc. …
We had a great stay here. Loved the free continental breakfast. The ocean view was gorgeous. Our 6 and 8 year old boys thoroughly loved the play area and the pool/spa. We didn't have a car but it was a nice walk on the beach to Pismo Pier and the restaurants along that street. Our room was huge with a living area (including fold out couch), mini kitchen area (with small fridge, sink, microwave), 2 bathrooms, and a master bedroom. Overall, it was great!
This has been an absolute dream get away for us. The property is beautiful and everything we read online about it! The people are so friendly here and very helpful. The room is clean, well appointed and over looking the beach. Listening to the music of the waves is unexplainable. We will be coming back.
Spacious suite with a private bedroom.y daught and granddaughter and I had plenty of room. Pleasant partial view of the ocean but overlooking a noisey playground. The bedroom was next to a busy freeway with accompanying road noise. Lots of noisey young children in the smallish pool and the hot tub was down for repair. We were there 4 nights. The internet is painfully slow and you will be logged out before any transaction is complete, including this reveiw. Covid restrictions in place including reservations for the pool and a bag breakfast. Convenient parking is available. Trash pick-up is slow with one tiny trash container it fills up quickly. Overall, I will likely stay somewhere else.
I made reservations through Expedia. I booked a room with Oceanview. I called Pismo Lighthouse to confirm the reservation and requested a bottom floor. The gentlemen who helped me checked if there was any bottom floors available and he said he complimentary changed my reservation from balcony oceanview to bottom floor oceanview. Upon arrival, I was given room keys to balcony oceanview on the 2nd floor. I was disappointed as to why that had happen. The gentleman at the front desk (which is the same person I spoke with when I called to confirm my reservation) said he doesn’t see any notes to changes made and that all the bottom rooms were booked. I’m a little upset that I didn’t get the bottom floor when I had requested for it and was reserved for me.
