Detailed Reviews
Just had an anniversary weekend getaway here and it was a great B&B! It was easy to find and conveniently located to things we wanted to do. The property was very well maintained with lots of lush vegetation, definitely felt secluded as we didn't see many other guests while there. Lots of different seating options around the property. We were able to eat breakfast on the patio each day which was really nice, our room had a patio table which we were able to sit at and relax a lot. FYI lots of mesquites (at least during this time) so be careful about that (they did offer bug spray but I didn't know until after the fact). The breakfast was very fancy food but great, the owners were very accommodating and friendly. The room was spacious (We stayed in the Cottonwood), the bed was comfortable, and nicely decorated. The price was a bit high but comparing to other accommodations in the area, the price was within range for the privacy and space.

We wanted to find a place not to far from our home in Folsom to spend a romantic weekend celebrating a milestone Birthday. A friend had recommended Eden Vale and we were lucky enough to find they had availability for the weekend we had in mind. The bonus for us was that they are dog-friendly, allowing us to bring our little guy with us. Karen and David are wonderful hosts and they don’t miss any small detail in insuring that their guests feel welcome and comfortable. We booked a couple massage and the experience was exquisite! Chef Val does an amazing job of making top quality, delicious food to meet the dietary needs of all guests. We can’t wait for our next opportunity to visit again!

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to help you celebrate! We're working hard to become the "stay-cation" destination for the Highway 50 crowd and hope you'll spread the word. We're excited about the new private soaking tubs being installed outside the Cottonwood and Cypress rooms next month and have some great plans brewing for the spring and summer. Come see us again real soon.

I planned a mid-week getaway for my husband’s birthday. He was pleasantly surprised by the amenities and I was exceedingly pleased that I picked a “true winner”. As the reviews state, the grounds are serene, the breakfasts are exquisite and the hosts are delightfully charming... all this and it still fails to describe the comfort and warmth we felt during our stay. “The Apple Hill” weekday special was perfect, providing an exceptional value for a first-rate B&B located just minutes from several parks and Apple Hill farms. To wind down the evening with a bottle of red and a nice soak in our private tub on our private porch was heavenly. We hope to make Eden Vale a seasonal trip!

My husband and I absolutely love it at Eden Vale. The location is secluded and romantic and we always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. I highly recommend you book a massage while you’re there, the masseuses are excellent.
The breakfast is probably the best we’ve had at a bed and breakfast and they bring a coffee tray to your room every morning.
The service is wonderful and the staff is welcoming and professional. The rooms are spotless and cozy, but modern. We will definitely be back.

Refreshed and relaxed is just what we're going for! We are blessed to have some of the very best massage therapists here at Eden Vale. Thanks for the compliments on breakfast, Karen has been refining her skills ever since she took over the daily kitchen duties. We look forward to hosting you again in the near future

My friend and I spent three nights at Eden Vale and loved it! It is clean, magical, and the owners are fantastic. It is like staying at an exclusive resort, very comfortable and the rooms are modern and equipped with Wi-Fi, beautiful showers, and private soaking tubs in the gardens adjacent to the rooms.
The entire grounds around the building are carefully planted and maintained gardens that have been there for many years so they are mature and make for a relaxed experience.

My wife and I stayed here for Valentines Weekend, and it was a hit. The B&B itself is utterly charming, built out of a converted barn with plenty of modern amenities. The soaking tub was deep and luxurious, and the grounds around the property were a nice place to take a walk in the countryside. The hosts did a great job of making us feel welcome. The breakfasts each morning were outstanding, and David & Karen were happy to accomodate our dietary requests.
To the person who had issues with the location: it's a B&B in the country, it's supposed to be remote. But even so it's less than a 20 minute drive to downtown Placerville and its shops, restaurants, and bars; plus within 30-45 minutes are literally dozens of award winning wineries; and we had no trouble using GrubHub for delivery. There's a convenience store in Gold Hill, about a 10-15 minute drive, with amazing home-made Indian BBQ.

Thanks for spending your Valentine's Day Weekend with us! We're so glad you felt welcomed and taken care of. We appreciate the practical insight into our location as well. Eden Vale seems remote when you're here, but is actually just a short drive to incredible wining, dining, and shopping, too. However, if you don't want to leave you can pick up a bottle of great local wine from our Wine Cellar and contact Door Dash, Grub Hub, or Uber Eats to drop something off at our front door.

First things first, if you’re trying to decide between two places just book your weekend here!! My boyfriend and I visited Eden Vale Inn for a late Valentines get away and it was just what we needed in the middle of a pandemic. The room was so darling and romantic. One of the coziest places I’ve stayed. They’re adhering very well to the COVID guidelines and I never felt that my health was being compromised. We wanted a relaxing and pretty chill weekend and this was the perfect place to do it. We went wine tasting for a day and they provided us a Wine Club pass which gave us discounts to all the places we attended. It was a beautiful weekend. Thank you Eden Vale Inn!! We will for sure be back <3

We fell in love with this place. Secluded in the foothills, but close to wine tasting, restaurants and shopping. Our room was beautiful with added small touches that made it so special. Private outdoor patio attached to the room where we were served our daily delicious farm to table breakfast, is secluded among the amazing fauna, fountains and gardens. David and Karen are wonderful hosts and it's apparent how much they care about their guests. We can't wait to return!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The facility and surrounding area are beautiful. Each room is amazingly private if you desire that, yet they can be opened up to the grounds to make the room less private. The soaking tub was really comfortable, and listening to night time noises out in the country was really soothing. The breakfast menu was posted the day before, and the staff was very helpful in adjusting the menu to our dietary preferences, Because of COVID restrictions, breakfast was left outside the room rather than served in the dining area,
Overall it is a spectacular place!

Thanks Gary! There really is something about sitting in a deep soaking tub and listening to crickets chirp that just smooths any of life's rough edges. Followed by a cup of coffee out by the pond in the morning....

My husband and I booked 2 nights at the Eden Vale Inn for our anniversary and it was by far the most relaxing experience we have had in quite some time. The location, the amenities, and of course the owners who took such great care of us exceeded our expectations. Breakfast is provided and the chef (Karen, one of the owners) made my husband and I a delicious vegan meal both mornings we were there. Eden Vale seems to be accommodating to certain diet restrictions and lifestyles. Thank you so much Karen!! There are gorgeous views and fresh mountain air to look forward to. The room itself was great. It included a fireplace, a coffee machine(with a non-dairy option for creamer), a big bathtub, and everything in the room could be conveniently controlled by nearby light switches or remote. Overall this is a great place to relax, get away from the city or everyday stresses, and be a part of nature. We highly recommend Eden Vale Inn and cannot wait to go back ourselves.
