We are located amongst the Apple Hill Area ranches and wineries of Placerville in El Dorado County, CA, nestled on an 11-acre property, including 3 acres of an apple orchard that guests only may pick. All bedrooms have a private bath. There are short paths to walk, an outside natural gas dining table in the gazebo, a Hot Tub room and a 3/4 wrap-around porch.

The Garden Room was so pretty with plenty of windows to let in the light and views of the forest. It was located next to the Hot Tub in a beautiful wooden enclosure with thick, soft towels and robes provided. We also loved the coffee bar available 24/7 with a variety of coffees, teas, cider, and hot chocolate. Bonnies breakfasts were amazing. While Bill was able to give great information for restaurants and the Apple Hill Ranches to visit. We also loved picking some delicious apple from their orchard to take home. This is by far the most beautiful inside and out B&B along with a wrap around deck lined with rocking chairs we ever stayed. Bonnie and Bill were warm, friendly, and so helpful to us. We felt extremely safe visiting during Covid 19.

This B&B is a gem. Why? Let's start with the proprietors: Bonnie and Bill. They are incredibly warm and helpful. They know how to strike the perfect balance between interacting with their guests and respecting their need for privacy. As to the B&B itself, it is in a beautiful location with lots of tree. The location is very convenient as well. It is very close to several wineries and only a five minute drive into the town of Placerville. The rooms themselves are tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. My wife and I stayed in the Garden Room, and we especially enjoyed the beautiful tile work in the shower. The queen bed was extremely comfortable, and there was lots of space to store or hang your clothing. Each day begins with a lavish breakfast, and each day's breakfast is different. If you have reason to be in this neck of the woods, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying with Bill and Bonnie a couple weeks back. What a "gem" as they say. When we pulled up (and into a gated property) Bill greeted us from the deck. Bill gave us great recommendations for wineries and we were able to wine taste with fee waived at 2 wineries we visited. We also got discounts on wine! Bonnie also is a wonderful baker and she made a super nice breakfast each morning of our stay. They are literally around the corner from Abels Farms and are right in the heart of apple hill. Both wineries were no more than a mile away. Rooms are decorated very cute, with different themes. They had robes and slippers in the closet, a hot tub in a gazebo, and the room was nicely renovated. Bill and Bonnie are very kind and accommodating hosts. Super great stay and I recommend them highly.

Great bed and breakfast! Comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, hot tub! Bonnie and Bill are such great hosts - they can recommend restaurants and wineries. They are delightful! For any runners...drive about 5 minutes to the El Dorado trail...beautiful, paved trail.

Everything was wonderful, they had small number of rooms so it's very personel.
Rooms are clean and unique, proximity to hot tub was close and also really nice.
Best thing by far was the hand cooked breakfast by our hostess everything from an awsome frittata to home made biscuits!!

Our hosts were great and the room came with a complimentary bottle of local wine which was quite good. Breakfast was outstanding all fresh and homemade. Make sure you go to Fenton Herriot winery. Great wine and service.

We've stayed here several times and always enjoyed the peace and quiet, morning coffee on the veranda, watching the sunsets, and jacuzzi. It's 10 minutes from Placerville, close to several wineries (Lava Cap is our favorite), and serves great breakfasts. Bonnie and Bill are excellent hosts and very accommodating.

Warm hospitality in a lovely setting just minutes from downtown Placerville. Our first floor bedroom was large with a walkout to the deck and a spectacular newly renovated bathroom. Breakfast was sumptuous, beautifully prepared and served. The hosts really love what they do and it shows in their attention to detail and their care for their guests. Highly recommend Ponderosa Ridge to anyone traveling in this area.

Second time we've stayed and always enjoyable. Very clean and quiet. Jacuzzi is nice. Veranda is great for morning coffee. We like Lava Cap Winery, just about 2 miles up the hill so this B&B is convenient. Only a few minutes into Placerville restaurants and shopping. Very close to wineries and fruit markets.

We recently stayed at Ponderosa Ridge B&B during a visit to see family in the Placerville area of Nor Cal.
This is a beautiful property with many trees and an apple orchard. The house is large and spacious with a wrap around porch furnished with rocking chairs.
We stayed in the Garden Room which was nicely furnished and had a very comfortable bed. The attached bathroom was clean and neat with a whimsical shower tile design.
Mornings were spent walking the property and enjoying the 24/7 coffee bar while rocking on the porch and enjoying the view.
Breakfast was enjoyed at the large dining table. Bonnie is a very good cook and each meal was 5 star!
This location is a perfect launch point for the many attractions in the area.
Bill and Bonnie are most excellent hosts. We found that we had several things in common with them and they made us feel like family.
