Stayed here on a Tuesday evening 6/14/16. $53.00 for first floor room (1 queen bed), $58.30 with tax - very reasonable! I was pleasantly welcomed by Kim, the owner/receptionist. My room was decent sized. Room and bath were both very clean as was the carpet. Bed & pillows were quite comfortable. There was a fridge w/freezer, micro & coffeemaker (all...

Several rooms were booked for a group of friends who were spending the weekend to participate in an area wine event. Placerville was a very convenient location to act as a base for the weekends events. Unfortunately, the room itself could best be described as functional in that it had a bed, bathroom, and a tv. The mattress was covered...

Cheap, clean. Beds are firm, not really comfortable. TV remote dirty and sticky...wonder where it's been? When booking 3 days in advance, we asked on the website to have our room away from other guests. The counter staff did NOT accommodate us & placed us near another person...who talked loudly all night long on the phone in his room. There...

Clean, tidy, maintained. If you just need a good place to sleep, this is it. My husband and I checked in late and when we got to our room the heater was on and the room wasn't numbing cold like it was outside. It is a functional place but the property is clearly taken care of, it's not falling apart...

Such a bad experience, rooms not clean, tv not working, internet was down, the sheets were not changed, no towels, the lady in front desk was rude, she just did not care to listen, not coming back for sure, how is it number 2 in tripadvisor? Unbelievable! Its not worth spending a single penny.

How can this place stay in business? The lady at the office was toxic. Like she made it a point to be disagreeable. Really, she should not be working in a job that requires her to deal with the public. Wrong personality. The room was like a Motel 6, smelled funny, not really all that clean, and I could hear...

Booked this hotel on Hotels.com..asked for a first floor room and actually got it ! We were given a room that had been recently remodeled, everything was clean, and comfortable. We actually thought there was water on the bathroom floor as it was so shiny! Check in was easy, and because of all the smoke from the fires the front...

Looking for an inexpensive motel on the way from Lake Tahoe to San Francisco we settled on the highly recommended National 9 Inn in Placerville. It's an excellent motel in a lovely town (once called "Hangtown", with lots of memoribilia), with plenty of fine restaurants. The room was comfortable and well appointed, and lacked for nothing. A very comfortable sleep.

This was a clean room with comfortable beds. Best price in the area. There are no extra amenities, but the staff was very friendly and accessible. One day we had ice melt in the trunk of out car and the manager came out with towels to help wipe up the mess.

I read many reviews on line before I booked a one night stay at National 9 in Placerville. Most of the reviews were good. I was very happy with our choice. It's an older motel but very well maintained. The room was not huge or brand new but it was VERY clean. The bathrooms sparkled. I also liked that there...
