Our swimming pool, hot tub and sauna is temporarily out of service for renovation. We apologize for any inconvenience. Leisure travelers will find lodging in Rancho Cordova allows them to easily visit the state capitol of Sacramento or the historic town of Folsom. The nearby American River offers white water rafting down a river that made gold mining history. Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Convenient to California office of Emergency services. Room was reasonably comfortable. Plenty of hot water in the shower and good water pressure. I wish Holiday inn would bail on the dove soap contract. Dove has a very specialized clientele, and I can't stand it.
Climate control in the room worked well. Free parking is always a plus. The problem, when hotels eliminate amenities under the heading of "under maintenance" but they don't cut the price, the customer is not getting what the customer before him or her got for the same price. It's too easy for a hotel to simply say the pool and hot tub are under maintenance but not follow through with a price cut.
While the location is convenient to the freeway and to several government of offices, there is that crowd of vagrants that tend to hang out in the parking lot.

Great facility, actual real pool and super super nice front desk staff. I had a huge mixup booking and lost $100 but Xhanna at least made sure everything else was set and there were no issues checking in. Super nice person.

My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Rancho Cordova in late July 2024. This might be one of the BEST hotel experiences we've ever seen.
For starters, not once but TWICE, the manager of the hotel called our room to make sure everything was okay with our room, and it certainly was! The room was immaculate, the bed very comfortable, and I'm honestly not sure we could have asked for anything more. The property was quite clean and pleasant looking.
We were very tired after a long day and went to the hotel's restaurant, and while the food was quite tasty, they were out of a lot of different drinks and menu items. The bartender was quite friendly, though.
This hotel seems like the model that all hotels should follow with their customer service.

The room was clean and very comfortable to stay in. It was a very pleasant experience to say the least.
The check-in was the problem. I showed up at 1:30 to check in, the wouldn’t let me told me nothing was ready and to show up at 2:30 and “maybe” they would let me check-in. When I showed up I was singing everything and noticed they had me a double bed room instead of the king sized bed I had paid for. When I brought it up to them, they blamed it on Hotels.com for overbooking. Then they go to tell me that they had put in a complimentary breakfast for my wife and I for the trouble. They didn’t bother to call me beforehand when they saw the problem and they were extremely rude about the whole ordeal. We left for dinner at night the parking lot was not full, so I don’t see how they were overbooked.
Never staying here again.

This place is a dump! I think people may actually live in this hotel. I stayed one night in May. The hallways are filthy and smell horrible. The first room I was assigned was dirty. I asked for a refund but was told I could not be refunded because I had booked through a third party. I asked if my room could be changed. They changed my room without a problem. The second room was a little better, but the door would not lock. I had to call down to have someone come up and fix the lock. I did not sleep at all that night for fear of someone breaking in or roaches coming out if I turned the lights off. I checked out at 7am the following morning and I will NEVER go back!!!

Eric at the front desk was excellent, polite, helpful, and easy to find. I lost my room key twice and he made me new ones very graciously and also double checked if there was anything else I needed without me even asking. You just don't get that kind of service must places so thank you Eric at the Holiday Inn, I'll be back for sure. Pool was just redone as well, was refreshing on a warm day.

The pool was Chrystal Clear. Breakfast great. I judge a hotel by these two factors. We will definitely be staying here next time we’re in the Sacramento area. Eric, Lisa and Violeta were extra friendly and helpful with professional courteous communications felt at home from the time we arrived until we left. I wish we would have stayed longer.

Eric and Miguel went above and beyond every day that I stayed to make sure that I was happy, and had everything that I needed. I will be back because of them! My boyfriend and I felt comfortable asking them any questions that we had, and they always had on smiles and great attitudes'! I couldn't thank them enough! The hotel is lucky to have them. Good customer service is so hard to find these days!!!

Lovely hotel, stayed here on a stopover going north, perfect for what I needed, easy, friendly check-in, welcoming bar where the service, food and drink were all great. Peaceful, spacious and comfortable room that was very clean. Check-in and check-out was great, the guy checking me in was extremely friendly and welcoming as was the lady at the bar (I am always terrible at getting names) I was unsure if I was going to keep my booking here for my return south or if I was going to cancel and stop a little further down but after this visit I will keep my booking and will be back there in a few days for a couple of nights.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel this month. I was really happy with the service and attention that the staff gave , as well the rooms Being exceptionally clean. The staff was amazingly professional. In particular, Eric and Lupe working the night shift went above and beyond to accommodate some special needs I had that evening. kudos to those two and the rest of the staff.
