Detailed Reviews
We were Caldor fire evacuees so we found a room at Courtyard Marriott. The staff was so accommodating to the fire evacuees by offering a 30% discount on rooms that we were renting by the day, not knowing how long we would have to stay. When we asked to have the room cleaned after a few days, we were told that they clean the rooms after guests leave, but were willing to clean ours since we didn't know how long we would be staying. The room had a mini fridge but I wish I had known we could have requested a microwave.
We were relieved to find that they had all recommended Covid-19 health and safety measures in place, and an update describing the measures the hotel was taking.
While we were there we enjoyed spending time in the spacious lobby and well-tended grounds and pool area.
The hotel is well situated, close to the freeway and in a clean business park where we felt safe to take daily walks.

We stayed here in mid March. We had just driven all the way to LA from BC only to turn right back home due to Covid, we stayed here on our way home and spent the day in Sacramento so we could at least say we did something in California other than drive! The hotel is about 15 minutes from Downtown Sacramento (an amazing city that I don't think gets enough credit for tourism, it's really pleasant!).
The property is older but nicely kept with a beautiful outdoor swimming pool and nice common areas. We got upgraded to a huge suite which consisted of a large bedroom with two queen beds and then an absolutely massive living room, the suite was probably at least 1000 sq. feet all in but even just the bedroom was larger than usual so I'm thinking that maybe even the standard rooms are larger than most. We had dinner at the restaurant, Formagi. They had just updated their menu and there was some confusion about it, my daughter has celiac disease and can't eat gluten but they had things labelled gluten free that did have gluten and vice versa! In fairness they were very friendly about figuring it out. The food was pretty decent but the menu was tiny and the drinks were incredibly pricey. We also had breakfast there and it was really good and very reasonable for a hotel restaurant. Keep in mind that there's also a Starbucks in the lobby which was appreciated.
I really liked the look of the pool although it was too cold to use it. We'd definitely come back especially in the Summer.

On a business trip for a week, travelling from Virginia to California.
Pros:
Comfortable bedding
Good location
Cons:
No free breakfast
No free wi-fi
No free parking
Road noise because next to highway
Long lines for check in on weekends. Thought I would faint after a long day of travel.

Worst experience at a Marriot (or any other) hotel ever. Mold in the shower, broken glass on the light, dirty hallways, it took hotel staff three different rooms to settle is into a "clean" one (which was the worst with mold).
The rooms did not appear to be properly cleaned, there was some kind of object protruding from beneath the sheets (we slept in sleeping bags on top of the bed).
Still have not heard back from management and this experience was more than a month ago!

Strange Marriott is charging for room WI-FI in this day & age. Already a $pendy spot, ($19 for smallish wedge salad) so why not just comp the Wi-Fi for all guests like cheaper hotels do. No need to nickel & dime like that. And how bout a placard to ask housekeeping to not change sheets & towels, good way to save water etc…

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. Our policy is that we do not change sheets during your stay unless they are dirty and hanging your towels should have let us know you didn't need them washed. I'll make sure to review these practices with our housekeeping team. Again, thank you for staying with us.

The hotel is located in a pretty convenient spot off the freeway. There were also lots of nearby fast food choices to eat. In terms of following Covid-19 CDC guidelines, the hotel did seem to follow them quite strictly in terms of spacing and mask wearing, even the elevator was limited to 2 people on each trip.
I found the check-in staff very friendly despite being a little understaffed. My room was clean and well maintained. There was a large TV and a comfortable bed. I had a minor complaint in that the hair dryer's on off switch did not work and I had to plug it in and out at the wall to turn it on and off. I also would have thought that my room would have a room safe, common for many hotels, it did not.
The pool area was small but clean and quite cozy. The little waterfall was a nice touch. I don't think this is a 5 star hotel but I would not hesitate to come back if I were in the area.

I stayed in the hotel on Aug 14-15. The walls and curtain of the shower were full of hair. Broken glass on the floor of the shower and dry food on the bedroom carpet. Had to leave, but I reported it all to the front desk. They promised to clean or provide a new room. I came back at night. The shower was clean, but one small piece of glass was still on the shower floor, and the food on the carpet was not touched.
I think the first time can be a human mistake. The second time is dangerous.

The rooms are very large and comfortable. The place is old school and although it could use a remodel, they seem to take good care here. Room and facility is clean and the staff very friendly. The room I had included a coffee maker, nice desk area, a small refrigerator and comfortable beds and chairs. No daily housekeeping at this time, but the Marriott breakfast in the restaurant was very nice, Staff in the restaurant were all great, friendly and helpful. Easy freeway access without any traffic noise. Id absolutely stay again when in the area.

The staff are trying hard, in fact they were better than most of the receptionists in most hotels I’ve visited recently. They were courteous and helped me with additional creamer for the coffee in the room. The cleaner nicked them the next day leaving me with two again but I suspect regulations are indeed coming from the owners.
The hotel furniture, fixture and fittings are old. The rooms and hallways needed to be refurbished 10 years ago.
When I mentioned that I was staying there to people I met on business, they said it was probably the worst Marriott in North America, it is definitely the worst I’ve ever stayed in.

The staff here is a five plus stars. They are all so friendly and helpful. What I did not like was they only make up the rooms every three days. We did ask to get our room refinished after two nights. There is also no continental breakfast at this location. All the other Marriott’s I have stayed at provide this.

No it is not.
Good afternoon,
Our gym is opened 24 hours a day and is located on the 1st level of the hotel.
Have a great rest of your day!
I didn't see anyone with pets but wouldn't hurt to call hotel directly and ask
I do not believe so.
