The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe is cool hotel nestled in a residential neighborhood. We have stayed there many times. Not sure what was up this time however! We were in a Garden Cottage this trip which we've had before. We've stayed in every category they offer and have always loved the rooms. This room was awful. The carpet was...

Dear Jill Please accept my apologies about the cleanliness of your room this time. As you are a frequent guests you know that is not the norm. Our garden cottages are slated to be renovated this year. I hope you will continue to come back. Kind regards, Jerome

As you can see I've stayed at a variety of resorts and read a lot of the negative comments which I'll try to address if I can. I didn't get a special rate, I believe the regular going rate is around $300/night depending on which room you get. And FYI, hotels in California are expensive in general. - Rooms: They...

Dear cheaptravelbug, Thank you so very much for your in-depth review of your recent stay. I could not have written it any better. We are indeed in a country setting in a small town but within a short drive to the beach scene. Our Inn is ideal for a couple of days of complete rest and relaxation, away from the...

Surprised by this somewhat out of the way inn. The rooms are spacious. Windows that open to let in soft, Southern California breezes. There's a great bar and restaurant. Meetings spaces for small groups make it a good place for a business retreat. Good exercise room and saltwater pool. Would definitely go back for personal or business retreat.

Had a very nice, kind of late meal on Friday night- out on the heated patio. Great food and service. However, the bad karaoke type keyboard player/singer could have ruined the evening if we had not had a group of 6 of us with a good head start on cocktails at Del Mar. So we had a good time laughing...

Dear Michael, Thank you for your visit and I am excited you found your pasta as good as you have ever had. We have different entertainers here every weekend. Unfortunately, this one fell ill during that night which was probably the reason he didn't sound perfect. We hope to see you back soon Kind regards, Jerome

Beautiful grounds, caring staff and good prices! It is situated beautifully close to the quaint but elegant town, so choosing to go to a restaurant in walking distance is perfect. The weather is almost always perfect, so get a bungalow with a patio, to enjoy a relaxing day!

I spent four incredible nights here with family for a wedding in the fall. From the moment we arrived the staff was kind, welcoming and made us feel very special. We stayed for four nights, 2 nights in the Garden Cottage and 2 nights in the 2 bedroom suite. I highly recommend either of those rooms. Both had fireplaces, gorgeous...

Pulling up in our taxi we were greeted by a friendly valet. Only staying for two nights, (for a wedding) we had little luggage and did not require a bellman's assistance. That being said we had no knowledge that we would be walking down a path, up a few steps and then down another path to our room. It would...

Dear Heidi, Thank you for your recent visit and I am sorry to read you did not enjoy your room. Unfortunately in a rural setting like ours we fight an ongoing battle against spiders, leaves and other sources of debris. We clean outside surfaces on a daily basis. Unfortunately, this past weekend we went through a unusual heatwave as normally...

I discovered this Inn at the recommendation of business associate. It's old school, lots of flowers and undulating paths, ultra low-key, very quiet with excellent on site restaurant. No excitement, but real deal old California landscape and atmosphere.

In all fairness, i didn't actually end up staying a single night at the Inn...but my experience for the few hours i toured this establishment compells me to write this review.
