We have organised an event at the Gravenhof castle and booked a room for a night there. While the building and the surroundings are impressive, the level of service and the rooms are poor. The staff seemed extremely rushed to finish the event, serving the dishes with less than 30 min time interval and started rudely cleaning and removing decorations...

Dear shandi20, My deepest apologies for your negative experience at Gravenhof. I'm sorry we did not meet your expectations. We will discuss this with our crew. Meanwhile, don't hesitate to contact Gravenhof. I would love a little more clarity so we can follow up with our team and make sure we're handling our guests responsibly. Gratefully yours, Davy

Was a great change from the other places I stayed in locally Hotel is very imposing in it's grounds. Room to be honest was very small and cramped but well appointed with good amenities Can't fault the cellar bar for food and beer Definitely try the ribs and sample the fantastic local Belgium beers. Looks a great place for meetings/weddings...

Thank you for your review! Please note, the lay out of our rooms is based on the old structure of the historic castle. All our rooms are different, have different sizes and lay outs. Do not hesitate to ask for another room at the frontdesk if your room seems too small upon arrival. Our staff will help you to find...

I had a very good party there, every thing was like in movies...the view, services, food and attitude . A splendid classic castle with modern appliances where I would like to spend a relaxing week end. Definitely a quaiet and magic place.

Yes, this is a special place: Majestic garden and building. Nice seminar rooms, free internet access. Very good restaurant and excellent service attitude of everybody! Thanks for that, I really appreciate this! Why mixed experience? I had an extremely small room. Just 30 cm left and right of my bed. Bathroom the same. While seminar rooms are nice, the equipment...

We had a good dinner in the cellar restaurant, but it was not excellent: disappointing creme-brulee. The modern rooms are located in a charming historical building. Everything clean, no technical complaints. Friendly reception staff that prepared a hand-written invoice / receipt.

I spent one night and thoroughly impressed! Small but well appointed room. Dining was excellent. Staff was truly special. I will definitely stay here again! I left my tablet PC in the room. The staff went to quite a bit of effort to return it to me.

Terrible night's sleep, business traveler, early start, kept awake by a birthday in the function room, just below me, till the small hours of the morning, the music came up through the floor and when they turbed it up to sing happy birthday I nearly jumped out of my bed, this was at midnight! This was a Tuesday night!

I stayed here several times and I like the place. OK you have to know what to expect. It is a beautiful castle which means do not expect a big room or do not expect a Sauna or Spa. I recently stayed for a second time in this charming hotel outside Brussels. It's quite small, very pretty and sits in delightful gardens with a large pond. There is perhaps one of the world's smallest lifts up to the second floor where my attic room was found. The room was... very small... but so well designed and laid out that...

They are designed in the best possible way to respect the ancient elements of the castle. It will be a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Gravenhof castle, built for Baron Le Roy in 1649, has provided accommodations to the most elite for more than 200 years. Formerly, the castle was surrounded on all sides by water and access was via the drawbridge. In the 19th century, the four cornertowers were added. The Gravenhof castle maintained its original beauty and magnificence thanks to a dedicated restorative process. Now, the castle is an upscale hotel, restaurant and business-centre.
