I believe, if the hotel had double paned windows, the noise would be not so loud.
This is a modern three-story motor lodge several hundred yards away from Interstate 80. I requested a quiet room facing the parking lot but they said all those rooms there were taken so I was stuck on the outside facing Interstate 80 and it was noisy. Really noisy. Constantly noisy all night long.
The breakfast was a "grab n go" due to COVID which is too bad since I liked the hot full Comfort Inn breakfasts of old. I can’t eat wheat so all I could so was get some yogurt and hard boiled eggs and OJ.
The towels were stacked and folded on a shelf below the bathroom sink. But there were no towel bars in my room at all even though there was wall space at the vanity and above the toilet. None. So to dry the towels between uses I used the shower curtain rod and the backs of the chairs in the room. I don’t get it. The room itself was very new because it had a rectangular (not oval) sink in the bathroom (very popular now) so why no towel bars? (Note to Comfort Inn management: Motel 6 has been putting towel bars in their motel rooms for at least a half-century. They are very useful. Maybe you can learn something.)
I had a king room with a chair and desk w/desk chair, pretty nice tv, microwave and fridge as well as pretty large bathroom. Wish it had been a jetted soaking tub or larger tub and the water wasn’t as always as hot as I’d like it.
Staff was pretty friendly for the most part and clean.
In addition, whoever was in the room above mine, I could hear every footstep echoing into my room.
I could not sleep the whole night and missed breakfast because of the lack of sleep.
I contacted the manager Lizzy who was rude and obnoxious and hung up on me multiple times. Even laughing unprofessionally during the call. The best she tried to give was 20% off when I asked for either a full refund or full credit for another night.
She refused to give me information about the owner and when they would return from vacation.
I got charged close to $200 for a sleepless night.
