Needs upgrading. Lighting in bathroom very dim for people applying makeup, or men shaving. Outlets on base of lamps, tried 3 lamps and none would charge cellphone, but one on wall did. They try to sneak in a $10 per day parking fee in a suburban location - this is not downtown San Francisco or Chicago - they will say it was in the fine print. Tub-shower needs a grab bar, as the tub floor is curved and slippery. Free breakfast was marginal, eggs either rubbery with cheese or crumbled dry. No water in eating area, must walk over to lobby where there is a water dispenser. Tea water was very hot, which is good, and high quality teas offered. The cereals in a dispenser are not labeled which is not good for food allergies. Room was just OK, had a fridge but no microwave..

Our stay was for one night. We were warmly greeted by Tabitha at the front desk and check-in went smoothly. She was kind enough to connect my family’s separate bookings and get us connecting rooms.
The rooms were well appointed and offer a coffeemaker. I didn’t notice a safe box however. Shower water pressure was on point and shampoo and conditioner offered below the shower head. A nice touch to save on mini-plastic bottles.
Complimentary breakfast in the main lobby opposite the front desk, offers both warm and cold options. The mini-cheese omelettes and pork sausage patties were yummy. They also had scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, and turkey sausage patties. Fresh cut fruit included watermelon, honey dew, and cantaloupe, in addition to apples, oranges and bananas. There was an assortment of bread including English muffins and bagels with cream cheese. Other items included juice, milk, yogurt, oatmeal, and a waffle maker with maple syrup.
Complimentary parking is available. You’ll receive a parking slip to display on your dashboard. A swimming pool and free wifi are also on the premises.
Overall a quick, but very pleasant stay. The staff were super friendly, from the front desk to the housekeepers, and the breakfast attendant.

From making reservations to checkout, our three-night stay at the Fairfield Roseville was perfect! When I called to book our room, I spoke with Assistant General Manager Praneet, and he was so kind, professional, and accommodating. We were traveling with our small dog, and he explained the fees, and, since we are Marriott Bonvoy members, gave us a discount. When we arrived after a long drive, the two women at check-in were friendly and welcoming, and immediately offered me a bottle of cold water.
Our room on the third floor (Larger guest room, 1 King, Sofa Bed) was roomy and immaculate! The water pressure in the shower was strong, and the toiletries by 39 North (featured at Courtyard and Residence Inn) were wonderful, with a light, fresh scent. Having stayed at Fairfields elsewhere, I was looking forward to the Fairfield line of shower toiletries, but these were also lovely. The bed was very comfortable. Everything, from the TV to the A/C, worked as it should. The complimentary breakfast was fine for us: eggs, breads, yogurt, cereal, waffles, beverages. The two ladies that took care of the breakfast area were very friendly and helpful. At checkout, Nick made sure that everything was correct on our bill. The entire staff--management, housekeeping, front desk, and breakfast area--clearly pay attention to every detail, and made this a wonderful stay.

The first thing you see are signs to wear masks (for COVID) and that staff are masked. Not one staff person was wearing a mask, nor was any guest. California continues to trail the world in following CDC.
Before booking we did call the hotel to make sure their pool was open and they assured us it was open for a limited number of people. No...it was not. It was closed and locked and the staff said they did not plan to open it soon. We would have booked another hotel as the Hampton Inn was open for swimming.
The breakfast was fair...never did like it when food staff wore their hair hanging over the open food! However, as the Kitchen lady organized the milk and juice fridge, we all stood and had to wait for her to finish. She was not restocking it, just making it look nice.
The hotel is apparently pet-friendly, but guests let their pets block the hallways and roam on the floors outside the rooms. Not real comforting for cleanliness.
Overall, I like marriott hotels and have great experiences with most of their brands. This location was poorly managed, the breakfast was not well-stocked, and the trash can was overflowing.

BEWARE - if you reserve a room here you may be moved to another hotel without your consent and on short notice. This happened to me, the day of my arrival. Staff will blame corporate policies and the pandemic but this is no excuse for accepting a reservation and then moving you without your consent. First time this has happened to me in 30 plus years of travel.

Easy check-in. Decent breakfast clean rooms with nice beds. The staff was always friendly and accomodating. There are several restaurants within walking distance during the day due to traffic I wouldn't try it at night.

Avoid room 221. Upon checking in, there was a deep vibration in room and figured it was air conditioner on first floor. After staying 2 nights, it was a constant vibration that could be felt throughout room and furniture. It felt like being inside the spin cycle of washing machine. For the recognition of being a platinum elite member at check in, It felt I received the worst room in entire hotel. With all the rooms I have stayed at over the past several years of business travel (200 nights per year), I have never had a room like this one. NOT RECOMMENDED.

The check in was fine. Front desk girl was friendly. The hotel itself was ok. In need of some maintenance. One mattress was stained/dirty. The bathroom showed it's lack of maintenance but for the most part everything was clean. Had a very strong cleaning smell when we walked in room. The problem I had was a few days later there was an additional $250 charge on my credit card. When I called the hotel they said it was because we were smoking in our room. My family are non smokers. We seek out non smoking hotels because my son and I have asthma. I explained this to Amanda and Daniel A and when I received a call back from Daniel I was told the charge was being removed as a "courtesy" however they had photographic evidence showing we were smoking. This is impossible because WE ARE NON SMOKERS. We will never stay at this hotel nor recommend to anyone.

Usually we stay at Fairfield Inns because they are great, staff is attentive to detail, no problems! This time, we arrived around 10:30PM, and were quickly given a room on the 3rd floor, key and a quick check in at that hour. We found the room, unlocked the door and clicked on the light. Walked in, and found the tv on, noticed fast food burgers on the night stand, used towels and the smell of perfume in the room. Called the clerk, he said to come back down with all our stuff we had lugged up there! Said it was a "computer problem", did not seem too surprised!! We asked what would they have done if the occupants had been in bed or tried to retaliate thinking we had broken into their room? We were so tired from travel to leave and find another hotel, he gave us another room, but we spent a restless night. Also, the message light on the phone was always on, we called down and no message, the clerk said he would turn the light off, but it kept coming on all night long! Spent mostly sleepless night, got up at 6 AM, and left for home. And they charged $99 for that room, was not worth it, that's for sure. I wrote to the main office, have not had any answer yet. Will not stay there again!!! This happened Dec. 14, 2004.

It's a Marriott Fairfield in a non-major US city...why is there a $10/day parking fee?! Hotel room itself was par for the hotel level, service was great when it existed but was mostly nonexistent, breakfast was okay...a lot of the light covers were smashed in all over the place. Felt like a trashier Fairfield. Will definitely reconsider Fairfields in the future.

Call the hotel guest services.
We found the sign Posted at the pool, the times listed in room notebook, and what we were told upon check-in were all different
COVID has closed many pools at hotels.
Yes, In our parking lot you'll find a Courtyard by Marriott with a nice Bistro and Starbucks Coffee, A Thai restaurant, Subway, and The Islands (Burgers, sandwiches, beer, etc). Across the street is a steakhouse called Tahoe Joes and a Burger King.
Hopefully that helps!
That I do not know.
