I absolutely loved the hotel, the room, and the staff! Really beautiful room and amenities - you will so enjoy. There is an included breakfast for which you are offered several choices, with the English muffins maybe the tastiest I have ever had. There is a late afternoon courtyard wine tasting offered but I wasn't able to participate any of the days I stayed. Their partner/associate wineries are all very close. I cannot wait for my next stay - the location is excellent - such close proximity to Yountville and St. Helena, and to the Oakville, Rutherford, Calistoga, Napa, and Silverado Trail wineries. Rutherford Grill and La Luna Grocery right next door and right across the street, respectively.

We celebrated my wife's birthday with 9 couples, each with a gorgeous room. The pool and spa were a nice place to relax. The staff was attentive and very supportive. They picked up our food from the Rutherford grill and set up the dinning room for us for a small fee. The staff stored 18 bicycles for us and were cleaning non-stop. We loved Rancho Caymus and will be back for sure. The location was perfect for bike riding to wineries.

We love this small Inn. It has large comfortable rooms with all the amenities, many common places to hang out and relax as well as small patios off the ground floor rooms, and they serve a lovely breakfast. We also enjoyed some complimentary wine tastings from local wineries. Everything is very well kept and super clean. Because there are only 24 rooms, you never feel like the place is overrun with guests. This family owned and operated business demonstrates their pride of ownership very well.

This review is not at all in regards to the hotel itself. It’s in regards to a situation that happen after we had checked out. The hotel is really clean, cute, and in a great location. Upon check out i waited a few minutes for the girl to get off the phone and when she was done she called me over, asked what room i was in and said i was good to go. I asked do you need my room card or need any signatures? She said no, didn’t even give me a receipt. I didn’t find that too weird since plenty of hotels send receipts to email and with the pandemic going on i figure they probably didn’t want to exchange anything unless necessary. The following day after checking out I had checked my bank statement to pay off the card I used to book the hotel. I noticed that my card was over charged $25.87 and I didn’t know why as we were only there for one night and didn’t order anything to the room. So I immediately called the hotel and explained the situation the girl over the phone was really nice and said someone needed to “look into it” and they would get back to me. At about 1am I received an email from the general manager saying the over charge was a “tip” I left for housekeeping upon check out... $25.87 seems like an oddly specific amount to tip someone. I responded saying I definitely did not authorize a tip to be charged to my card nor was even asked if I would like to leave a tip. I was barely asked anything. He responded back saying $25 will be reversed and that maybe someone gave the wrong room number to leave a tip when they checked out. I could seriously care less over .87 but doesn’t it seem a little odd that the person checking them out did not verify that the money that was getting charge was for the correct room? And why did that person get asked if they would like to leave a tip for housekeeping and I didn’t even get a “thank you staying here” after I had questioned this and sent a screen shot of the amount I was supposed to be charged (luckily I took one when I booked the reservation) I never heard back from the manager. Also, if this was the case and I had left a tip why did the person I talked to on the phone need someone to “look into it” why couldn’t she look at the charges and say oh it looks like you left a tip upon check out? I spent plenty on the actual room that $25.87 isn’t that much more at that point but everything just seems a little suspicious to me but even with that, I would definitely recommend staying there just make sure you know exactly how much you are supposed to get charge and verify you are not over changed when you check out!

We have spoken with this guest and apologized for the very small error, we're a small family-owned inn that is extremely honest and hospitable. What actually happened?: Another guest wanted to leave a tip for housekeeping at checkout and must have left us the wrong room number, we should have confirmed this but it was an honest mistake that we take ownership for. We reversed the charge and apologized immediately. I personally reached out to this guest and apologized and did inform her that her review was highly inaccurate, I did not reach out to her at 1am. We did follow up, sincerely apologize and reverse the charge without question. We did this all in email and we did thank her for her stay. It's unfortunate that she did not want to correct the inaccuracies.

The hotel was very attractive and clean. There is a small pool, a hot tub, several sitting areas, some with fire pits or a fireplace. You can eat breakfast inside or out. The room was well-supplied with towels (both bath and pool towels,) coffee, tea, Tarocco brand bath products in a complimentary cosmetic bag. There is plenty of storage space - closet and drawers. I was very happy the windows had screens so that we could get fresh air overnight. I definitely recommend Rancho Caymus Inn.

We stayed for six nights during Covid-19. The hotel did an excellent job with keeping guests safe. Social distancing is easily maintained. Temps taken upon arrival. I appreciated that hotel still provided room servicing during the pandemic and it felt safe to me. The hotel is pretty. I gave to stay there is a bit of a motel feel despite it being luxurious. Can’t quiet out my finger on it. Maybe it is the layout. Rooms are large and comfortable, but our bathroom was very small, but pretty. Not much of a view from the room, but the flowering trees and wall we stared at grew on me. Also provided privacy. Bed is very comfortable. I was disappointed that they suspended wine tastings. I am sure there is a way thus could be provided with social distancing. I know that other properties have opted to provide picnic
baskets instead with some wine included. Breakfast was nice, but became a bit boring for six nights. Maybe they could rotate at least three different options. Service staff in hotel are very friendly. Pool is small but nice. Wish this place was adults only. Families with small children detracted from the boutique feel. Also, staff could do more to keep noise down at times from pool area. Some guests can become loud.

Our stay was wonderful. Austin and his staff made sure we had everything we needed. They made a reservation for us at local wineries and had terrific suggestions. The entire place gets a cleaning each day and the breakfasts are delicious, serving fresh fruit, homemade granola and famous Model english muffins!

My wife and I loved our stay at Rancho Caymus Inn. A beautiful, Spanish style boutique hotel, the large, beautiful rooms surround a pool and hot tub in the center courtyard. Every corner of this place is well cared for and thoughtful, from the beautiful tiles to the gorgeous woodwork. The bed was huge and comfy and the small veranda had two seats and was great in the late afternoon to enjoy the weather. Highly recommend!

I would not recommend this hotel. The rooms face the pool where people gather and socialise loudly, there’s music blaring and all these sounds are coming into your room. We were trying to rest for a couple of hours before the dinner and it felt like we were in some dive bar. Their music choices include songs like I am coming out - maybe at least play jazz instead of the annoying pop songs everyone is sick of?

Then next door some insane siren started blazing, is it nuclear Holocaust? I don’t know, but might as well be the way this hotel is going.

They also do not allow you to add more than one guest’s name onto the room so if the second person loses their key, there’s no way of getting in. We stayed downtown Napa before coming here and the hotels there are better priced and so much nicer, more spacious and more updated/cleaner but most importantly peaceful and quiet. There’s also nothing in walking distance here. I would not recommend this place.

The grout of the bathroom tiles needs cleaning.

They also do not have a Tesla charger. How they charge almost $800 a night for this is beyond me, I wouldn’t pay $200 to stay here.

Planned to come here for a girls' weekend. Had to cancel due to the lightening complex fires (we were evacuated and one of the girl's homes even burned down!). They refused to refund us, despite the circumstances, because it was outside the cancellation window (which is 7+ days notice). Honestly, the way it was all handled is what frustrates me more than the lack of refund.
After explaining our evacuation, they asked if I still wanted to cancel because the "air quality is improving this weekend." Really?!
Then I was informed other guests who were impacted by the fires were given a credit toward future stay. I expressed that money (refund) in our pockets would be more helpful given our circumstance, and was told "many are thankful that they can use the money another time." Felt like an insinuation that I should be grateful for the consolation prize they were offering us.
In addition, they reminded me of the Napa fires in 2017 and how the hotel and their employees were impacted at that time. I wonder, if they could go back in time, how would they feel if they were in my shoes? Would they rather have hundreds of dollars to put toward essentials and housing for their family, or hundreds in credit to a hotel?
I know businesses have been suffering in 2020 for various reasons, and I understand policies are in place to help protect businesses and keep them afloat. However, I also feel that not everything needs to be black and white and there was a lack of compassion in this situation. We were excited to support a family business and stay in this beautiful hotel, but at this point, none of us want to stay here in the future due to how this was handled.

Hello Elisa, it's unfortunate that you wrote this review and then emailed me (General Manager) that you will take it down if you get a refund. The above "review" is misleading, you canceled well within our 7-day policy that you agreed upon and confirmed in our terms of service. 1. We offered you a full credit toward another stay, good for a year. We did not keep your deposit as penalty for your cancelation as a compassionate way to work with you given the wildfires (we have been still open and operating, paying expenses, payroll and the res was booked first day of the fires). We attempted to call several times and your mailbox was full which you acknowledged. 2. Due to this review being posted with misleading information and the fact that you said you'd take it down if we refunded you, we will now no longer be offering a credit toward a future stay. If you have a change of heart about bashing a family-owned business and want to remove the review, we would be happy to discuss the credit toward a future stay.
