Impressed by the service we did get. We were traveling with a 5 month old and 3 year old and turned out we were arriving 1/2 hr. early before check-in so we called to notify the hotel and asked if our room could be ready. We were told the room we initially booked through the hilton honors app was not available but it turned out they gave us a nicely situated room on the river side tucked near a corner away from most of the noise of the lobby area. There was no hesitation in being able to check- in. The 3 year old loved the pool and the breakfast cooked to order was great. The two queen size beds were comfy and the 2- room configuration was ideal for us. The location met with what we needed and we had a fantastic time in Sacramento visiting Fairytale Town and South Park with the kids. We will definitely book this hotel again when revisiting Sacramento with our children.

I love this hotel its located right by Old Town Sacramento. I think it is a little pricey and you also have to pay for parking. They do really take care of you there. I had requested extra towels and bathroom items, and pillows that were not down and all the items were in my room as requested. Breakfast is really good all you can get and cooked to order omelets, plus a breakfast bar of bacon, potatoes etc.

Honestly my stay was fine. Good location. Friendly staff. My room was large. Bed was comfy. I loved that they sanitized everything for me (including the remotes, which I think ALL hotels should do). Overall, nice hotel. BUT I think the bedding used on my 2 beds needed to be trashed and new ones cycled in. There were stains all over them and even rips. The hotel gives off a nice, upscale vibe so ripped and stained sheets is not what you would expect. Everything else was good, clean room, furniture in good condition.... I just think the sheets have been too well loved.....

I will also note the door was sealed shut with a seal saying everything in there in completely sanitized. Cool to see them taking an extra step to make people feel more comfortable. I haven’t seen many hotels do that.

The room was over $400 because it was the last of the rooms available. The room itself was nothing special, the grout in the bathroom was filthy, the rug was worn, the rug outside the room had ripples in it that you had to watch that you did not trip over....you can hear the people talking in the room next to you. I felt like this was a cheap hotel.
Yes, the location is great, and you get complimentary evening cocktails, with nothing special as an appetizer, the morning meal was no better than any of the other self serve breakfasts provided by other chains.
The front desk, and valet staff were spectacular. The restaurant staff was lacking in professionalism. We waited almost 30 minutes for a drink at the bar, only to find out that the other person sitting at the bar was the supervisor....
Fortunately we have stayed at several other Embassy Suites and know that this is not the normal for the brand. There are too many other good hotels in Sacramento, won't stay here again.

We stay at this hotel probably 4 times a year while in Sacramento for theater. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast included with your room is great including made to order omelets, fresh fruit, sweets, pancakes etc. We weren't that happy with the restaurant. Service was good and the food decent. The prices are average for a mid-range restaurant with decent portions.

The location of this hotel is great. Right next to Old Sac, with views of the river. Easy walking distance to the Capital and Golden 1 Center, as well as Raley Field (now Sutter Health Park). Nice evening reception, plus you can take your drinks into the restaurant. Full cook to order breakfast. Big suites with TVs in both bedroom and living room. We've stayed here a couple of times. Only thing I don't like is the parking. Self parking is in a public garage across the street at $24 a day.

In all the years we have lived in California, this was my wife’s first trip to Sacramento.

There was not a single hitch during our stay. The valets took diligent care of our car and luggage. The hotel was fully booked, but our check-in was efficient. While our room wasn’t ready because of the room turnover, we took the opportunity to walk through Historic Sacramento and have a drink. The registration clerk was a trooper, so we wanted to be particularly complimentary towards and about her. Upon our check-out this morning, she was working again, with a nice smile and cheerful outlook (I asked about that, and she said that it was supposed to be her day off, but she did not want to leave her manager short-handed—that is exactly the type of employee I look for!).

Our river view suite on the 5th floor was great. My wife hasn’t traveled in a long time, so this was a real treat. Apparently, there was a baseball game Saturday night so at its conclusion there were fireworks on the other side of the Sacramento River. Nice. Before dinner we took advantage of the Manager’s Reception and enjoyed a glass of wine on the patio.

For dinner, we wandered around Downtown and decided upon eating at one of the city’s oldest restaurants. This morning, we enjoyed a robust breakfast, followed by a walk along the riverfront. We watched a small herd of sea lions frolicking in the river channel. Amusing.

Since several of the conference rooms were open, I showed them to my wife (she used to arrange conferences and meetings at several colleges), and she helped me visualize a Board retreat and training for my organization.

On our way back home, we were deciding upon several excellent choices among the numerous museums in the State Capital and wound up visiting the Sacramento Historic City Cemetery (the oldest public cemetery west of the Mississippi River). Fascinating.

Based on my stay and two previous short meetings at the hotel, I can easily envision holding a future Board meeting at this location. My wife has other ideas and is looking forward to our next getaway at this wonderful hotel.

Located at the opposite end of Capitol mall to the Capitol building this hotel sits on the banks of the Sacramento river. The suites are very spacious with a living room with dining area and a separate bedroom both with TV sets. A hot freshly cooked breakfast is also included. There are many walking trails along the river and Old Sacramento is a very short stroll away.Due to covid restrictions the restaurant is only open for take out at this time. Parking is quite limited and is only available through valet service but overall it was a good experience.

Very late arrival. Nighttime staff accommodated parking even though the valet was closed because we have a car-top carrier that could not fit in the parking garage across the street. Great start to the trip.

Very clean room with modern comfortable furnishings. Large televisions. The hotel was relatively full and we never heard anyone while in the room.

Great views from all sides of this hotel located next to the Tower Bridge and Old Town Sacramento. Direct line of site to the California State Capital building.

The complementary breakfast is not a “continental” breakfast. It is a wonderful breakfast with cold and hot breakfast options prepared by a wonderful service staff. I had amazing custom omelets with my choice of potatoes, bacon, sausage, French toast, waffles, etc. on the side.

The staff was wonderful across the board (valet, front desk, housekeeping, kitchen, etc.)

This is my new go-to location when staying in Sacramento.

Good: room, customer service, breakfast, gym

Bad: they don’t clean your room when you leave for the day. Paid $800 for 3 nights, you’d think they’d let you come to to a tidied up hotel room after a hard days work. All of my belongings were in the closet so it wouldn’t have been an issue with my things in the way. They most likely require you ask them to clean your room. But I was on important work trip that I was focusing on and I didn’t think of asking for what Motel 6 does automatically so I perform my best at my job.

Yes it’s just like the before times! We stayed here two weeks ago and the happy hour cafe and breakfasts were all exceptional. Breakfast can be made to order or choose from a very generous array of items buffet style items. All 10 / 10!

There is a small dock; I've never seen a boat tied to it and I didn't see any bollards to tie up to. I strongly suggest calling the front desk.
