The 5 stars are for the front desk manager, Shelly, and the supervisor, Maurice, who were kind and accommodating. We had an incident with the parking garage (which we know is out of their control) but they both extended a late check out as we handled the issue. Thank you!!
The hotel location is across from the capitol ~ perfect for a stroll with kids or pets. The rooms were clean and breakfast was satisfying.

The hotel is located in the middle of downtown with easy access to freeways. Parking is paid ($20) but very convenient right across from hotel. Staff is also friendly and hotel is very clean. Room was also bigger than most of other Marriott similar rooms. I noticed that it had fully equipped kitchen - cutlery, electric stove and even dishwasher liquid. The view of the downtown was also panoramic from the higher floor. Breakfast buffet had some healthy option- Egg whites, brown bread, yogurt and juice.

Great service from the staff working the front desk and housekeeping, everyone I've interacted with so far has been extremely nice, accommodating and helpful. Front desk has always been nice when I go and get my packages (long stay) and housekeeping has been helpful when I've needed a fresh towel in-between service. Given the shelter in place, I've had intearctions with Nati and Envagelina and they were very accomidating while they did their job and I worked in the kitchen.
The room has a small kitchen with a normal size fridge. There are pots, pans, plates, silverware, cups and even a wine opener ;) Definitely recommend the hotel, especially for long stays when you might feel like cooking something yourself. There are plenty of eateries walking distance from the hotel and a park across the street for walks and runs.

My first choice is always Residence Inn and I’ve stayed at one in nearly every state in the U.S. This one certainly does not disappoint. All staff are very friendly, efficient and professional. The rooms and all common areas are Spartan clean. Every possible precaution is taken during this pandemic to keep guests and staff safe. There are signs at each of the elevators to limit riders to one family or 2 distanced individuals. Of course, mask wearing is required at all times in public areas. Guests line up for a server to give you breakfast items requested, that you take back to your room to eat. The parking garage is very convenient, brightly lit and reasonably priced for a city’s downtown area.

I enjoyed my room -although small, it was organized so you had a mini kitchen plus a nice sitting area. The parking was in a garage next door - and is pricy - I did feel a bit uncomfortable walking alone in it. I ate at the hotel restaurant which I have rated separately.

I had the pleasure of staying in the Residence Inn for 2 months due to a job assignment in Sacramento and
I should add I will be staying the remaining two months of my assignment. During my stay I interacted with many of the staff at the front desk, housekeeping and catering and when speaking to them I was always greeted warmly and it felt like family. The hospitality that was displayed by Erika, Jenel, America, Alexis and Shelly was definitely A+. They were so attentive I wanted for nothing. Thank you for making my stay so memorable. I can not forget the amazing meals prepared by Chef Keith! I can’t speak enough about the rib eye steak cooked to perfection! The hotel’s room was extremely clean and extremely comfortable. Thanks to John and his housekeeping staff especially Des. Special effort was taken to ensure every common space was disinfected throughout the day. This is something I greatly appreciated. I will definitely be back and would recommend staying at Residence Inn to everyone if they want to stay somewhere “where everybody knows your name and they are always glad you came”!

We've stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions as we used it regularly when house hunting for a 2017 relocation to Placer County and now use it for weekend getaways for concerts even though we only live 30 minutes away. We love the hotel for its wonderful location and stayed there on New Year's Eve as the hotel allows us to easily walk to a wide variety of neighborhood restaurants and music venues.
This high-rise hotel with an adjacent parking structure and a lobby lounge feels more like a full-service Marriott than a typical Residence Inn. Of course, it has a small market for food and beverage items. In addition to the facilities, we are always impressed with the friendliness and local knowledge of the staff. This recent stay was wonderful, as usual, and we look forward to our next getaway to downtown Sacramento!

This is by far the most worst hotel I have ever stayed at, I felt disrespected and discriminated. The only person that I had a good communication was America.
It all started when I arrived Erika front desk was very short and rude. I had mentioned I had a dog but she didn’t even let me finish my sentence to let her know I had a service dog she said that it didn’t matter if he he was service dog or not they were going to charge me $100 pet fee and then had a smile smirk when she said it.
A service dog is a service that is needed to balance my condition I have but I guess at this hotel they don’t care about their customers even though I paid for 2 rooms that came to a total of $592.00
The room had a terrible smell, and when I made my booking I was getting a room with the Capitol view and the design was a certain way this is the reason I wanted to stay here and to be honest the pictures that are shown are their website are lies because they sure don’t look like in person is false advertisement.
Lastly I had spoken to the manager the next morning and she didn’t want to listen to what I was saying she was just ignoring everything I said, in my opinion a manager should do anything they can to make sure their customers to stay and leave happy and she didn’t.
Therefore, terrible customer service and please don’t stay here it’s a discriminating place and Terrible front desk service.

I have been at this hotel for the past 6 weeks,
The hotels protocols for COVID-19 are in place and followed by all.
The parking garage makes you feel safe lighting up as needed great feature.
The staff is informed and friendly all the time, front desk, kitchen and housekeeping.
You can get anything needed they have it extra coffee ,sewing kit, scale, mail etc.etc.
I drop my NEW phone between the wall and a stairway leaving the parking lot and it was tarped in a cage that was locked Felipe a maintenance staff member (star A member) Saved my phone and got it back to me within the hour, above and beyond service. Emma in the kitchen , Erika Zack, Shelly and Jenel are your top customer service representatives they are like these all the time 6 weeks tells it all
I recognize this Hotel as top of the line in cleanliness , service and quality.
I felt at home and Home is far away Florida. Thank you
PS. During this times of disturbances all over our country the general manager and staff took time out to send a personalized message to all the guess and actions on access to the building for safety

Incredible hidden pet fee. You MUST to pay $100 for your dog. They don’t tell you that while booking, just when you are checking in. What am I going to do with my dog if not? Well you have to pay the fee. They said it’s a long stay hotel, and everyone must pay the same fee for just 1 day or for 1 month. However, they could make a fee to pay a rate proportional to the nights you stay at the hotel.
I do not recommend it If you go with your dog, or at least now you know that you have yo pay an extra $100.

The pool, spa and fitness center are currently closed until the state & Sacramento change the current orders. The restaurant and bar are also closed, we do offer to go dinners Monday through Friday through a full menu from our bar.
We offer our full hot breakfast, we must serve you including coffee and you must take it to go or return to your room with it.
Please give us a call as these services are changing daily and maybe different the day of your arrival.
Yes, The pool and spa are year round and the pool is heated to 82 degrees.
