The Hyatt Regency Sacramento is often celebrated for its appealing amenities, including comfortable rooms and diverse dining options, though some guests would appreciate complimentary breakfast. The hotel's atmosphere is noted for clean, charming rooms with thoughtful touches, but opinions on value are divided, with parking costs being a point of contention.
While service is generally regarded as professional and the central location is a highlight, experiences with noise levels and room quality can vary, with some facing disturbances or dated features.

Hotel's Favourite
I was not expecting much for my one night conference stay as I am not particularly fond of business class hotels. But I was impressed. Front desk got me a room when I arrived exhausted at 11 am. Room service made me an actually delicious meal, with little touches that showed they listened to my request. The bell hop remembered my name when I picked up my luggage 8 hours after I dropped it off. Good work, team! And the room was clean, pleasant, with a nice view, comfortable, functional furnishings, and yes, a bland but overall attractive decorating scheme. I really could not have asked for more.

We stayed at Hyatt Regency in Downtown Sacramento with a group of friends and we all had a great time. The staff is warm, welcoming and the facility is clean, well maintained (during the COVID) and all the guests are wearing face masks and take extra steps to ensure everyone's safety. It's within walking distance to some major attractions.
Prices are reasonable and the parking facility was adjacent to the hotel with access to the hotel ($20/night for self-park)

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
We were three families that traveled to No Cal and one stay was at this hotel. It was modern, clean and has comfortable amenities. The downside was Starbucks closed early, the pool/spa was very crowded, and parking was $25 a day. This was a central location and we enjoyed walking to dinners, see the capital and enjoy downtown. The kids liked the location and amenities and it was relaxing stay. The walls were thin as well so we can hear the late comers go into their rooms and take showers.

As soon as I walked into the room, I smelled feet. A strong smell of feet wafted throughout the main room and the bathroom. Likewise, starting at 10:30 PM at night, cleaning services started to vacuum the room next door. The hotel's rooms aren't soundproof, so I had to endure loud banging and noises of vacuuming for the next hour and a half. At this point, I would not recommend Hyatt to, in my case, my coworkers. I'm still contemplating whether I should cancel my next two planned work trips to Hyatt. Hopefully, my next experience is better.

I have been going to the Hyatt regency in Sacramento for about 15 years. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience. and if there are things that are not meeting my expectation or exceeding them the staff has immediately addressed the issue for me
I had dinner in the bar this past visit and I must say the food appetizer on the menu was delicious.
I also enjoy their saltwater swimming pool temperature is always perfect and it's so refreshing to take a nice swim.
The only thing that I would change about the rooms as I hate powdered creamer and wish that they would put some half and half or cream cups in the rooms.

Hyatt needs to break out of COVID, and do it fast. This is my third underwhelming Regency experience (family vacation) in the last 12 months, and I’m about to just revert to Marriott properties for everything (business and pleasure). It’s like they have committed to a very slow recovery from the lockdowns of a year ago, and have been slow to restore service. Here’s what I think you should expect…
Beautiful property and facility. Rooms are in good shape.
When booking and checking in, if you’re an Explorist or higher, you’ll be told in the app that your reservation includes access to the Regency Club. This isn’t true, because it’s been “closed for two years.” There isn’t a sign on the club that says this, so don’t make the mistake I made in waiting around for it to open up. And don’t expect that you’ll have access to breakfast or coffee; you’re going to have to pay for that downstairs. The front desk staff will be genuinely shocked to answer questions about this.
If you have questions about the Club (or anything else), and it’s early in the morning (i.e. 6AM), you’ll need to wait more than 5 minutes before someone comes out to help you. I recommend asking the valet to go in back and roust them out.
They’ll text you when you arrive and encourage you to engage with them if you need anything. Don’t expect them to respond promptly; if you have a complaint/issue, they’ll just “leave you on read.”
Your parking lot access will probably not work with your room key - despite them adding self-parking to your reservation, giving you new keys, etc. You’ll likely need to visit the front desk three times to get this fixed…but not before you’ll have to hold up everyone in the parking lot trying while engaging the “call for assistance” system. Fortunately, if the manager is around, he’ll apologize and refund your parking for the inconvenience.
Expect towels and a made bed, I think. They still aren’t cleaning rooms here, either, except for some “light cleaning service” that you can request. I’m not sure I understand what’s happening there…because the experience didn’t quite align w/ the welcome email I received.
The public area/lobby bathrooms will be locked randomly. The second floor bathrooms (to/from the garage) are open sometimes, but I can’t predict when. The bathrooms on the lobby floor that lead out to K street appear to be locked all the time.
The gym is down the street. It’s reasonably equipped (lots of Pelotons), but there are only two yoga mats in the entire facility. Everyone is using towels on the floor to do their exercises.
The body wash container in the shower will be empty.
There will be one hard-working guy manning the bar AND the tables in the lobby bar area. This means that you’ll be waiting >10 mins for a beer, because he’s taking food orders, delivering meals and attending to all of us at the bar itself. And like I said, he’s working hard…but he’s overworked.
This isn’t worth the premium you’re paying.

Unbelievable! When we arrived at lunchtime and found out we could order from a restaurant but could NOT eat in the restaurant. We were told we could eat in the lobby or in our car. The restaurant worker said they could bring the food up to our room when it was cooked so we could get situated. At no time did they say that there would be an extra charge. They added 18%on for a service charge/tip and another roughly $10 for room service fee. The food came in a bag and take out containers. Nothing like room service at a 4 star hotel should be. I assumed because they wouldn’t allow us to eat in the restaurant bring it up was to make up for that. Which seem reasonable. And before I was given the bill I tipped in cash, and he never once mentioned there was already 20% tip add.
To top it off we entered the bar at 10:31, for a night cap . The sign said they close at 11:00 pm but was refused service because last call was at 10:30. I nicely said we are guest at the hotel but was told they didn’t care. How rude!

Stayed here for a quick overnight visit and would definitely stay again. Both the agents at check in (Janice) and check out (Marilyn) were friendly and engaging. Both genuinely seemed to be enjoying their day and job which can only help but rub off on the guests. The room itself was very clean with all the necessary Covid Measures in place. Our complimentary bottled waters were already in the room to avoid any contact and the remote was covered in plastic as well. The TV was enormous but far enough away from the bed to enjoy. We didn't eat at the restaurant but we did take advantage of their grab n go menu to pick up a few beers at night. All the staff were wearing masks and we felt completely safe during our stay. Fantastic location as it is across the street from the Capitol with tons of walking distance food nearby. Hyatt Regencies have a certain standard to uphold and this one not only meets but exceeds it. Can't wait till our next visit!

Bright, wide, comfortable areas enhance the comfort of the room which is well equipped with a small refrigerator, a very large TV, several cell phone charging stations. Be aware, however, that if you are not a "frequent desk" you will be charged $4 for the bottle of water in the refrigerator. Staff is professional, responsive and very cordial. The hotel is located just a few steps away from the Capitol (great tours!) and surrounded by restaurants and cafés that range from very economical to high end. Guests enjoy a delightful view of the adjacent park. A big bonus: the opportunity to enjoy swimming a few laps in the middle of February.

Hotel was pretty empty and the few people we saw were wearing masks, yay! Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. They provided bottled water at check-in which was much appreciated. We parked on the street right in front of the hotel and the parking meters indicated “free parking” so we didn’t have to pay the $20 self parking fee.

IDK I dont work there
???
Are you asking Hyatt?
We were just customers who stayed there. Hotel is very nice. Neighborhood a little questionable for walking around these days.
Sorry, no whirlpool tubs in the rooms. But a nice hot tub at the pool.
You can Valet or if you want to self park, the lot is on the left as you drive in the driveway.
Yes, self parking is $25.00 and valet is $35.
