The most horrible hotel experience ever. Upon arrival we were told that they couldn't offer the 2 queen room we'd booked and payed for in advance. They had sent another guest to the room and the door wouldn't open. Still the receptionist send us to the room to try for ourselves.

Great hotel, close to everything. Good price, front dexk manager was nice. He helped me print my ticket and stored my luggage. It was clean, big bathroom. Quiet place, nicely decorated. You can walk downhill to downtown. You can see the ocean. Best small hotel in the area. I

We stayed one night on our way to Pacific Grove. Great location close to shopping and restaurants. The room was clean, comfy and roomy. I saw none of the problems mentioned in other reviews. Breakfast was very good. There was quite a bit of room in the breakfast area and the

I may have been generous and given them 2 stars, but after seeing their deceiving web site, I have decided to knock it down to 1 star. This place is pretty disgusting. It is in a seedy part of town. There is a liquor store basically in the same parking lot as the "Inn".

Hi, Nothing against this Inn. However, If you're just looking for an overnight stay, Salinas doesn't have much to offer unless you're also going to Monterey. If traveling from LA to SF, San Luis Obispo is a more interesting town on 101 (and from there, you can take Calif 1 for The Most Beautiful Drive In The World, Big Sur). If you want to get closer to SF and the Bay Area, Gilroy or Morgan Hill may have much cheaper costs. (You can also make it from LA to SF on Interstate 5 in one day's drive, and see farmland)
