Our room was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. However the breakfast, which used to be great, was recently cut back to just breads and coffee and juice. No cereal, fruit, or eggs as before. The pool needed maintenance waiting for a part. One ice machine was not working.

Hotel's Favourite
The rooms are comfortable and ours was quite large. The air conditioning is effective and not that noisy, there is an ice machine (although it was broken when we went), coffee is available in the lobby and in room, and there is a pool which looked lovely and clean, although we didn’t use it. The breakfast was available from 6 til 10 and had cooked options as well as continental. There were bagels, English muffins and brown bread, with Honey, cream cheese, jam, butter etc. there was coffee, tea and orange juice, and scrambled eggs and sausages. There was also porridge. They had a microwave and toaster, it is all kept very clean and tidy.

How it comes up with a four point rating I will not understand? This motel is an absolute dump. In my 64 years I have never stayed in a place that made me so nervous. Because I spent the money on this room, I brought my bedding up from my car and put it on top of the bed bedding, because the bed bedding was full of black hair and the sheets were worn out. Curtains wouldn’t close all the way because they’re broken. I saw a AAA rating award in the office, that needs to be resubmitted. This is far from anything remotely close to a AAA hotel. Slept in my clothes on top of my own bedding for a couple hours, and then left. I was concerned my vehicle was not safe as there were several people in and out of a vehicle downstairs. Would not recommend this place at all!

Horrible and disgusting!! Bunch of stains in the carpet, is literally so dirty that it’s sticky you’ll need slippers for sure if you plan to stay here. Loud guests in parking lot. Bunch of illegal activity going on here, I saw a man come from a room literally naked. They have NO cameras whatsoever so that’s quite dangerous in itself… Won’t be visiting again.

This place is absolutely disgusting. The 1st room smelled bad, had whitish "organic substance" stains on the wall, and bedsheets were badly stained, the mattress was even worse. I immediately headed back down to the front desk and showed the clerk the photos I took. She apologized and gave me another room. I had to walk past feces and garbage on the sidewalk to the room. I entered to find a sticky dirty tabletop, then peeled back the comforter to find UNCHANGED bedsheets with POOP SKIDMARKS on it!!!! I looked no further and headed back to the front desk to ask for a refund. Since I booked through Booking.com, the clerk said I'd have to file a claim with them, which I did, which is another issue. Turns out this hotel has converted to a "voucher" hotel so there is a heavy population of voucher recipients there. I used to live in this town and the former owners had a great reputation and ran a nice hotel. Since the Reardon-Sammuts sold it, it's gone straight to poop. Stay away if you value your health and safety.

This is a good place to stay overall. Convenient location, good parking, very good breakfast, nice bed, good shower bathroom. However Carpet is stained and needs replacement. Sheets need replacement. Staff is friendly. Pool looks good but didn’t use. Tell them if you want to be up or downstairs. We have stayed here before and would again.

The first red flag should have been the broken ice machines and the spa before we even checked in. After getting the key to the room, we proceeded to the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs there was a used condom which was still there when we checked out 2 days late. The carpet in the room was stained, the toilet was not bolted down, the outlets were loose, the phone was not connected, the clock was unplugged and the dresser drawers would not stay closed. No one knows why! Of course we brought these issues to the attention of the front desk clerk and the most she was able to give us was a bag of chips and popcorn.

After a long day driving we were pleased to get some much needed rest and as soon as we drove up we saw people dumpster driving, which the people in the hotel cant help but as we were given our key we drove round to see the pool in the middle of the car park so we decided that it was best not to go there. As soon as we enter the room we could noticed that it was the cleanstet of places becuase the walls were dirty and we decided to turn on the tv and it was broken becuase the picture was waving about like crazy. The bathroom smelled like pee because the outside the window some one must of peed outside. The shower worked fine but the toliet had werid stuff on it.As my son and I got to sleep I was worried and my fears were realsied when outside the room I heard people doing dougnuts but i didnt dare look. The people got louder and louder and seemed to be coming closer and closer until they eventually stopped after my son woke up we git out as wuick as we could we later found out the town had a lot if vioelent crime commited there.DONT GO IF YOU DO HAVE TO!

Room was clean, but very outdated. We moved rooms as the first one allocated was for 2 people (we had booked a room for 3). Didn't use the pool, so can't comment on that. Breakfast was basic but adquate; bagels, eggs etc. Girl on reception was very welcoming and helpful.

Laurel Inn used to be our go to place when road tripping. Not after last night. Place has been let go. It is terrible. Needs to be gutted and furniture replace. Wish I had taken pictures, the place is terrible.
