Really enjoyed my stay at The San Anselmo Inn, which is in downtown San Anselmo, a quiet, lovely, walkable little town not too far from San Francisco. There are several different types of rooms. I had a cozy room for 1 or 2 people with a comfortable queen bed. It had everything a traveler needs, including a toilet and shower,...

Great place in San Anselmo to stay, quiet, clean well staffed, I stayed for my Drake reunion. Feels more like a bed and breakfast than hotel. Love the lavender/glycerin soap they provide! The proximity to the downtown attractions means not having to use ones car very much.

Room was simple but comfortable - innkeepers so friendly. Breakfast (included) hearty and delicious. Planning a return trip just to stay here! Being an older inn, lack of an elevator might be a challenge for some but was fine for us!

I really like the Inn's location, in charming downtown San Anselmo, next to a pleasant café. The physical property, the furnishings and the people working there all seem tired. Nothing bad happened, but the room was cramped with ill-fitting furniture, the bathroom was also very cramped and several of the listed breakfast items were gone after the first half-hour or...

The Inn/bed & breakfast is quiet, clean and very nice. It's a great place to stay for a night or two. The rooms are adequate, but you might want more space for a longer stay. Very quiet with comfortable beds, a bathroom that's nicely designed where everything works, and the breakfasts are quite good. However: 1. Don't let Google Maps...

Very friendly and accommodating staff. They serve a Good breakfast. Kind of run down room and furnishings and furniture. Probably better for more of a casual traveler not a regular business and leisure traveler like myself. I'm not inclined to stay here again but that's just me.

This is a brilliant option if SF is booked out or too expensive. We struggled to find a place in SF due to a huge conference happening. The Inn is small, and quiet and an easy drive to the ferry port. Staff are friendly and helpful. San Anselmo has some great eating out options.

This little inn was delightful! Located on a quaint street in San Anselmo, the inn offers a wonderful breakfast with delicious homemade breads, jams, quiches, and much more. The rooms are welcoming and the staff were extremely helpful and professional. Be sure to dine at "Valenti" the wonderful Italian restaurant located on the premises, where chef Duilio prepares authentic Italian...

It seems a lot of the previous reviewers are forgetting the stars credited to this hotel and the price range it comes in, they seem to be expecting the moon on a stick when in reality, this basic but charming hotel does the job very well. Rooms are spacious, well appointed in could be described as kitsch in their decoration....

We needed a place to stay for a family wake, last minute. Luckily, The San Anselmo Inn had a room for us. Cute little room, very comfortable and cozy. The breakfast "B" was fantastic! Delicious menu, fresh ingredients and great coffee! Very friendly staff. I highly recommend this little inn in a very pricey area!
