Stayed here about a dozen times over the past year for work.
The hotel lobby is very classy and the rooms are clean and luxurious.
The staff are friendly, especially Mady in the lounge.
My favorite feature is pool area, it is great for doing laps.
As a comparison to the Hilton in San Gabriel though: I prefer the complimentary breakfast I get at the Hilton compared to the breakfast at the lounge at the Sheraton. However, the Sheraton does have food for dinner at the lounge, which can be hit or miss, but could help save money on dinner. The parking rates are higher at the Sheraton than the Hilton (both have good underground lots). The room rates are generally lower at the Hilton too; but the Sheraton is aesthetically more pleasing.

I made a reservation for this location Just the day before. It was because the rates were fairly low. So this was just a one night stay. Check-in was easy and was given an early check in an hour and a half before due to availability. The lobby and facilities appear modern. Up to the room and it seem like it was nicely appointed at first glance. The bed was comfortable. There was a mini fridge and coffee maker in the room. The sofa in the room had a big strain on it like someone had cleaned it off, not well, like they spilled an entire drink on it. There was a reading light by the nightstand. There were complementary toiletries in the bathroom. The shower pressure was decent. What I didn’t realize was the shower head and hand wand was spraying water, so I adjusted it so it was only the shower head. As for the coffee maker in the room, I do not believe housekeeping checks the packets of sugar as they were rock solid and not powdery, meaning they seem old. Overall, the open spaces appeared grand. Even the floors were the rooms are had very large seating areas like sofas and chairs. Did not try the fitness center, pool nor hotel restaurant which the front desk emphasized was open. As for that taco truck around the corner, it’s actually five blocks away. My wife found a Korean chicken place just across the street. Surprising, my wife said she wouldn’t mind staying here again as she likes SGV, and she is not Asian. I might stay here again, they just have to pick up the small details which make a stay great

I stayed here for about 2 weeks in August. Still affected by the pandemic, the hotel is not back to its full service state. Hotel has one bellman called David who refuses to help with luggage but will instead point guests towards a luggage car. Housekeeping still requires pre-booking and is not available everyday. In room dining also has very limited hours. Hotel diving venues are also closed.

The front desk staff is generally friendly and polite except for this Hispanic woman who had a pretty awful attitude throughout the duration of my stay. I want to specifically point out that Ivan at the front desk was the one staff member who always went above and beyond the call of duty. Very polite and always very helpful.

The rooms are well appointed for a four star hotel. My only complaint about my suite would be no windows in the bedroom—quite claustrophobic. Although I do appreciate that the living room area has a powder room, so it’s good for entertaining guests. The hotel lobby is also spacious and welcoming. The top floor lounge is small but comfortable and well furnished.

The one amenity that could use some improvement is bath towels. Most of the towels have far too much mileage, and even the newer ones are not of very good quality. The swimming pool is unfortunately very small and nothing more than a play pond for children. The gym is quite small and not very well equipped and reeks of paint. The existing equipment is of decent quality.

Despite some of the shortcomings, I would come back again, and I think the hotel is good value for money.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. While we're pleased that our well-appointed guest rooms impressed you, we certainly regret that some aspects of your stay fell short of the all-around exceptional experience we aim to provide. We truly appreciate your detailed feedback, as it's helpful to see how we are meeting your needs and how we can better serve you going forward. We want to share that David is our Security officer, not a bellman. However, we are bringing back this service to aid our guests. We hope you will allow us to make your next stay a truly five-star worthy experience here at Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel.

Among all the Marriot establishments that I have stayed at, Sheraton San Gabriel's service has gone to a new low. They will not acknowledge Marriot Titanium member and the front desk gave you rude kind of attitude. There are no slippers or dental kits provided and they said it is due to the pandemic, whereas other Sheraton hotels always have this basic amenities. When you enter this hotel, it does not feel like a hotel and it feels like you are in other country; almost all directions were written in foreign (chinese) language, and the manager on duty will not really care about hotel's standard of service. We were given a small paper bag with 2 water bottles and they took the bag from the floor behind the front desk. The small white paper bags filled with water bottles are placed on the floor where the front desk people are walking around. If this Sheraton cares so much about the pandemic by not providing some amenities, why would they put those paper bags filled with bottled water on the floor where they walked? Are their shoes even clean?

Also, the water pressure inside the room has issue. We were supposed to have late check out, and on the check-out day, the staff knocked our room door every hour at 1pm, 2pm and 3 pm. This type of behavior is unacceptable especially when the hotel has only 10% of occupancy rate during my stay.

Enough said, I won't recommend this hotel at all.

I liked the look and the room of this hotel until I realized they won't do any kind of house keeping unless you stay seven plus nights here. I booked this hotel for a five night stay for a post surgery recovery. They've never once cleaned my room or refilled toiletries for my room. When my daughter and I used up the one box tissue paper, all the clean towels and even toilet paper on day five I requested a room cleaning and replacement of some clean towels and toilet paper. They flat out refused to do any cleaning. I had to take out trash everyday myself that filled the tiny trash cans in the room during my entire stay. When I returned to hotel today I was shocked to see the house keeper literally left a roll of toilet paper and a few towels on the bathroom counter without even taking out any trash or the dirty towels on the floor, needlessly to say making the bed. This hotel should be shamed to claim itself as a 4 star hotel using the lame Covid excuse to not clean guest rooms at all.

Beautiful modern hotel that seems out of place for the area its in. Was not expecting the place to be as elegant as it was given the nightly rate and location. The hotel itself feels like it belongs in the downtown of a major city instead of a busy suburb with strip malls in front and residential houses behind it. Despite being in the suburbs, it has quick access to I-10, making it easy to get around the LA area if you have a car. Lots of new construction around the community so I imagine it won’t be long until the surrounding area matches the hotel. Oh, and there are random robots working around the hotel.

For those visiting from outside Southern California, San Gabriel is a suburban Asian, mainly Chinese, community, so the hotel and the restaurants around the area reflect that. The majority of the staff I encountered are both English and Chinese speaking and the signs are written in both as well.

In terms of COVID, there’s no breakfast, the 2 on site restaurants, the pool, and club lounge are closed. The fitness center just recently reopened with a max of 5 guests and the Starbucks on site is open from 5:30am to 4pm.

I’m local and stayed here for a mattress run for a Marriott promo, but for anyone visiting it’s not a bad choice.

I stayed on this hotel on February 26th - 28th. It's a nice hotel, location is a bit far from Los Angeles. During rush hour, it took us about 2 hours two drive from Santa Monica to the hotel.

Overall my stay was great except for one incident that ruined my mood toward the hotel. I have a Titanium status with Bonvoy and I didn't get to go to the Concierge lounge until my last night which February 27th. I went with my wife and 2 years old son, we ate dinner there, grabbed some water bottles, and took my son's leftover to our room. But the lady that worked at the Concierge lounge was very rude and told us we cannot take foods out of the lounge because it's the rule. I told her, I saw many people did it while I was eating, why didn't she say anything to them. I was only taking my son's leftover so I can feed him in the room. I said to her if I should just leave it to be trown away anyway. She started raising her voice saying that we should never do that. I had to de-escalate the situation because she was making my wife very upset and I didn't want a cat fight to start.

I reported the incident to one of the receptionist the next morning, she tried to defend the Concierge lounge lady when I saw many people was taking foods outside.

To the management, please look into this. I would have given you 5 star if it wasn't for that incident.

While traveling to visit family in LA I needed to stay in a hotel for one day to give me space and privacy to take a series of important calls. I had heard wonderful things about this property and decided to stay there. I am so incredibly glad I did.

They have a lush entrance area / lobby with gorgeous decor and mile high ceilings. Not to mention a restaurant which looked exquisite. I can’t wait until it opens back up!

Once I got to my room I was amazed at just how upscale it was. It was comparable, if not superior to some Ritz properties that I’ve visited. The bathroom is what really stood out- gorgeous tile, rainfall shower... all of it screams luxury. Out of all the hotels I have stayed at in LA, how could I miss this one?

With meetings all morning and no chunk of time long enough to go grab some breakfast, I called downstairs to see where the closest coffee shop was. You can imagine how pleased I was to hear that there is a full Starbucks store inside of the hotel!!

The staff was incredibly accommodating- from putting me on the club level, to making sure I wasn’t disturbed during conference calls, and giving me the room closest to the elevator (personal preference). I was also very impressed by their covid precautions. I felt completely safe.

I had the pleasure of speaking with the director of sales and marketing, Fred Kokash. What a kind and lively man! He answered all my questions about the property at length, and went out of his way to see if there was anything he could do to make my stay better. I could hear him smiling through the phone, and his upbeat personality really conveyed his love and dedication for the hotel. Those interactions are what really makes a difference for me and make me want to come back to a hotel time after time.

I wish I would have been able to stay here pre-covid and enjoyed the amenities, but it did not stop me from having an excellent stay. I will be back soon!

I really enjoyed staying here. I came to celebrate my 30th anniversary and it made it very special. The place is decorated with lots of beautiful marble in the rooms - even the elevators are impressive. They used a robot to take my luggage to my room. I enjoyed that detail. The suite was spacious with a cozy bed with reading lights, separate sitting room with a beautiful view of the pool, large tv, and had a guest bathroom and a master bathroom with both shower and tub, mini refrigerator and extra sink and counter.
I enjoyed the lounge which has breakfast service and hearty snacks in the afternoons.

The EST Steakhouse food was delicious! I ate steak, a caesar salad and a lobster bisque soap which were super tasty.

Service at the hotel and restaurant is polite and very hospitable.
Of course I also had a one hour deep tissue massage. I recommend setting an appointment the day before or when you arrive at the hotel. It was delightful!

I highly recommend this place because it is very convenient to anywhere you want to go in Southern California. Plus this kind of luxury is worth it! I was so pleased with my choice of where to stay.

An Airbnb reservation was a flop and I reserved rooms at the Sheraton LA San Gabriel last minute. Nancy at the front desk was so pleasant with overviewing the property and Ivan later shared with me great restaurants in the area. Both Nancy and Ivan were professional and welcoming and check-in was easy. Ms. Ling in the lounge was simply phenomenal, despite the identical continental breakfast each morning. Gracialia in housekeeping always had a smile when she delivered towels from housekeeping and Gary (front desk) sent a nice plate of fruit to my sister's room for her birthday at my request. The property had an update a couple of years ago and I was surprised to see robots for luggage valet after I used the cart to get all the luggage from our family to our rooms.
