We had a nice stay with the dogs! The room was clean, the balcony was nice, there were lots of places to walk the dogs, and there was even a little enclosed dog park. It was quiet and nice! We had a great time and plan to go back.
In the past I’ve had bad experience booking a hotel stay but this was fantastic from the driving up to it until we left. Front desk people were very welcoming and excedently helpful. All of the service staff were very helpful. Loved our stay and we will be back.
Brandon and Britney are awesome !! They’re the nicest hotel receptionist that have treated me with such professional and well customer service ! Helped me with where my room was and also informed us about there events
First time here with my husband and daughter. We had a better than expected time here at the Royal Oak Hotel. Brittany was the evening host there and she is fabulous. She hosts a trivia night with the guests which makes it a very fun stay. You get to meet other guests and share time with them. Learning about their adventures and sharing yours. You won’t be disappointed. It was a 10 out of 10 experience. On top of that the room was very clean and comfortable with many amenities.
The rooms are fine for an older renovated hotel. Our room had the smell of dog. Breakfast had good selections hot and cold the problem is getting to it. In all my years of travel I have never been to a hotel less friendly to the mobility challenged than this one. The hotel is disjointed with doors and ramps or stairs to get you everywhere. Though ramps do make it accessible they are not easily managed by those with mobility issues. Walking up or down ramps and stairs is difficult for some and this hotel is horrible for that. Even the patking lot is on a slope to unload and if you go to where its flat you have multiple halls, doors and an elevator to get to a room. The breakfast room is on one side of the hotel not connected at all to one wing so again halls, doors and ramps or stairs. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone with any sort of physical limitations or if you don't want to do alot of walking to everything.…
We stayed here for a one night stop over whilst travelling down Highway 1. Basic hotel on the outskirts of the town - was off the dual carriageway so not sure it would be that relaxing by the pool with the road noise. Was a little further out from the main town than I’d expected . Room was clean and beds comfy. Some of the hotel is being renovated currently (not that it impacted our stay). Main grumble was that despite paying full upfront in advance for our room, they still wanted a $100 hold on a credit card - of which 3 weeks later the payment is still pending. Maybe would be less of an issue using a standard credit card but ours was a pre-paid one so funds have been locked for too long IMO.
I’m kind of disappointed that hotels are milking this fake pandemic situation by not servicing the rooms daily. It’s been 2 years of this farce, lets move on. Seems like we are getting less for a lot more money.
What a fantastic place to stay. The grounds are very nice with sparkling pool. Ultra clean - immaculate rooms, complimentary happy hour lounge, hot coffee, complimentary hot breakfast- we enjoyed chatting with Ruben as he was very attentive
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay mid week! The breakfast was lovely, the room was very clean, and the evening hospitality with Brittany and Janelle was a lovely bonus! We loved the complimentary finger food, drinks and karaoke! What a great way to meet people and socialize in a laid back environment! We would definitely choose to stay here again!
Overall this hotel was a nice place to stay, and for us it was important that it was pet friendly. They had a good selection for breakfast. Social hour with Brittany and Janelle in the lobby was great!
