It's clean and the bed was acceptable, we literally stopped here to sleep and it was fine for that. Did have a little look at the restaurant in the morning but seemed a bit run down so decided to grab snacks from the shop and get breakfast on route.

Minimal service but we were only there one night. Room was tight especially when we had all of our luggage in it. Pool was good, shower was small but I would stay here again as it was only a stop over on the way down route 1.

If you want to stay up near the castle I understand you have to pay a price but over $200 a night for these rooms are highway robbery. The carpet was so filthy on our room (121) I had to keep shoes on. Everyone talked about an ocean view but not all rooms have them especially on the first floor...

After a long day of driving the PCH we were looking forward to a good night's sleep in a cute little motel. The front desk clerk was pleasant but our room was less than desirable. It smelled like a nursing home and didn't get any better when we aired it out. After we checked in we realized the hotel does...

We had not heard of the San Simeon Lodge prior to reading reviews and booking it. Very pleased as the rooms were large, great location and the onsite restaurant was good. The grounds are very nice with easy access to points of interest in the area,

Very good location with a lovely view of the water. Small, older property, but clean and well maintained. The restaurant served the best Cobb salad I've ever had. I would recommend this for a moderate cost stay. Only a few minutes from the Hurst Castle visitor center.

Whenever you are driving along the Highway 1, San Simeon is an obvious choice to spend a night, thanks to it proximity to Hearst Castle and Piedras Blancas. The "town" is basically an accumulation of motels and while the San Simeon Lodge at the northern end of the area isn't looking like much, it turned out to be one of...

We stayed here for two nights on our way up route 1 on our honeymoon. There were good points and bad points about the hotel, i would give it a low 'very good', slightly better than average. The good points were the overall look of the hotel and the rooms. It looks really pleasant, and the pool in the middle...

Nice hotel along highway 1, stopped there for one night while driving the beautiful west coast. The rooms is a little bit outdated, but still a ok hotel. There is also a popular spot nearby Where you can watch sealions.

We stayed there one night on Memorial weekend. Prices were $30 to $40 cheaper than nearby hotels, that is the upside and why it gets four stars instead of three. We stayed there because we attended a nighttime event at Hearst Castle and did not want to drive to Paso Robles after a night of drinking and eating. The hotel...
