We stopped here on our way to SF. It's a ideal stopover location if you drive from LA to SF. Hotel is clean and nicely decorated. It has a very old heating control unit on the wall. No air conditioner. We're in late October, no need for air condition. So we don't know what would be like in summer time....

Very clean, the rooms look like they are almost new, rooms have easy parking, handy access to Hearst's Castle and Cambria, and very helpful staff. The continental breakfast had a nice variety and was kept well stocked and serviced through the breakfast hours. Easy access off highway 1, very close to San Simeon. For dining Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill...

This was a one night stay as part of a road trip. It is ideally located for the drive down the coast to San Francisco and there are several things in the area to do. The rooms are lovely and even though we were at the front we couldn't hear any noise. Staff were friendly and helpful. It provides a...

Had to make reservations for our girls weekend at the Central Coast. I decided on trying The Morgan. We were not disappointed. Staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast was yummy, and the room was very nice. I would probably stay on the 1st floor next time. No elevator and had to make several trips up and down the stairs to...

We wanted a place nearby to Big Sur. I realized only after I got home to San Jose that I had forgotten my iPad at the hotel! I called and they had it safely for me and within 2 days I had it back in my hands. Can't say that other hotels would have this level of integrity! It was...

Convenient to Hearst Castle. Be aware that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. May be fine usually, but we were there during a heat wave, and our second floor room was quite warm when we checked in. Luckily the room had windows that opened, and the weather cooled down at night. All of the San Simeon hotels are...

We stayed at this hotel as we were looking for an overnight stay en route to Santa Barbara. Hotel was average. Reception staff were quite helpful and room was quite spacious. Room above us had a family in it and it often felt as though they were in our room with us. Indoor pool was fun although a little strangely...

There is history here! The Morgan was designed by the same architect who worked with William Randolph Hearst on the Hearst Castle down the road. If you are looking for a cookie cutter motel this is not the place for you. If you are looking for character and interesting design this is it. The windows could use a little cleaning...

The Morgan provided us with a fantastic and convenient place to stay on our way from LA to San Francisco. The staff were helpful and the check in and out process was a breeze. There was ample parking for guests. The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Included continental breakfast the next morning was a bonus (cereal, bagels, coffee/tea)....

On arrival , the front desk were fabulous, helping me to resolve a problem from earlier in the day during our tour. We decided to upgrade to a suite, which we were very pleased with. The furniture was a little tired but the bed was extremely comfortable and we had plenty of space. ( the sofa was a little smelly...
