We just got home from 2 nights at the Upham. Wow! So beautiful and peaceful. We left relaxed and happy. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed breakfast and drinks outside. The kids loved the garden and the freedom to play outside. Breakfast was nice and we took full advantage of the happy hour and Oreos and cookies in the...

We had a lovely 2 nights away from the kids with my spouse at The Upham. We started in a quaint, yet small, cottage with a private patio out back and a reasonable rate--quiet, bucolic, and serene. When the front desk realized that the couples massage we had set up the next morning would not work in the room (too...

We stayed in a spacious and well appointed cottage. Great location and close to everything. Helpful staff and warm and cozy breakfast in the lobby. Gorgeous grounds and relaxing atmosphere. Can't wait to return.

I stayed here for four nights while conducting performances of The Nutcracker. Everything was outstanding. I had a beautiful quiet cottage with a fireplace. The bed was very comfortable. All the staff we're charming and helpful. The breakfast service was always fresh and both bountiful and elegant too! Parking was very easy and the Internet was reliable and strong the...

Beautiful little hotel, very nice room and good location. The breakfast is average and the service could be a little more attentive. Parking space available for free - would go back and recommend but it could be perfect

We've stayed at the Upham twice in the last few months. We visit Santa Barbara frequently, and had passed it many times. It looked interesting to us. The pricing seemed a bit rich to us , but we decided to give it a try. It is a pleasant place to stay, but what you get does not justify the cost....

Fabulous hotel, very quaint and the service was excellent. We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Excellent location just a short walk to shops and restaurants. Did not use the restaurant on site but it seemed popular. The gardens were a lovely quiet place to sit.

Our stay here was just great! From the walk to our room, to the fireplace, to the lovely roses down the walkway. It's a very clean, crisp, and magical feel, if you're looking to relax and unwind. We were in town for a concert but didn't want to leave the grounds. This place takes pride in their business and it...

The hotel is pleasant enough but our room did not match neither our expectations nor the descriptions: awfull smell (desinfectant?), too close to a street with heavy traffic. Parking lot very cramp when the hotel is full. Poor WiFi coverage in that part of the premises. Good location: two blocks from the top of downtown.

This hotel is really pleasant, consisting of an attractive, historic building, with many cottages and suites in the extensive gardens. Rooms and amenities of a high standard, and it is just off the main street which runs straight to the sea. We walked all the way down the street to the beach (a couple of miles) and got the 25cts...
