We have stayed several times at the Eagle Inn. The location, service, friendliness, and fine breakfasts have been excellent. On our most recent trip, when severe rainstorms hit the Santa Barbara area, the staff was particularly helpful when we incurred special needs.
If you want to stay at a SUPERB hotel look no further than the Eagle Inn. You will receive great service, our room was so comfortable and breakfast really good! Furthermore it is so close to the railway station if you, like us, plan to travel by train. Having said this it is in a very quiet and accessible area of town. Thanks to all of you at the Eagle Inn!
This small hotel is SO charming! From the minute we walked in until we checked out we were 100% satisfied. The staff if very friendly, professional and accommodating. The rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable. Breakfast is included. The property is just a couple of blocks to Beach, restaurants and shops. Property also has several little garden areas with tables, chairs and fire pits. All around - a great place to stay in SB.
My husband and I stayed here for our babymoon in Santa Barbara and it was couldn’t have gone better! We stayed in the Santa Rosa casita and loved the two person bathtub, cozy fireplace, kitchenette and balcony. The check in experience was great - Peter was very attentive and kind and explained the breakfast offerings to us (which were delicious and conveniently got delivered to our room). We didn’t get to try the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies or ride the bikes but plan to do that on our next visit. There’s a latte machine in the lobby that was great, it’s located just a short walk from State Street and several restaurants in Santa Barbara and there was ample parking. 5/5 experience! Thank you Peter & Eagle Inn staff!
My husband and I recently stayed at The Eagle Inn and had a wonderful experience. Our casita was lovely and confortable and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. We would definitely stay here again. Lorraine P.
San Clemente Casita was wonderful. The spa bath was so relaxing with the fireplace.we ordered the champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Perfect! Breakfast was really tasty. Peter made everything exceptional. We will definitely be going back. I can’t recommend enough.
The room was conveniently located. Walking distance to the beach. They had candy in bowls around the lobby. We had a room on the street side that could have been noisy but we put white noise on our phone and did not hear much. The room was clean. Had a microwave and fridge in a cabinet. The best surprise was the breakfast. Cooked to order there were 4 choices. They even made a GF breakfast complete with GF bread that was delicious. The people were friendly. We received text messages about our reservation the morning we were checking in and out. Will definitely stay here again.
We stayed in a superior king room and I requested a specific room that I identified from the hotel website...it was beautiful, spacious and well equipped. Although a couple of the jets on the sunken tub were in operative, I still enjoyed a leisurely bath in the sunken tub adjacent to the fireplace. Wine glasses were provided and we always take a bottle on our road trips for these occasions. The hotel also had some available for purchase at moderate prices. I appreciated the small fridge and the microwave as I was unable to consume all of my lunch one day and heated it up for dinner. Bed was comfortable and the noise on the street was limited so it didn't interrupt our peace. The balcony on the front provided some views and we soaked up the afternoon sunshine on an otherwise cold weekend. Breakfast was in a pleasant room but they did not light any outside heaters for us to go on the beautiful patio...darn! Choices at breakfast were okay but the presentation could have been kicked up a bit to make this a 5-star review. Cookies were out in the afternoon and the staff was terrific consistently. We walked to the wharf, the marina and State street. Only took the car up to the theater and the mission. Then came back to a large adjacent parking lot (terrific amenity). I would recommend this place for it's intimacy!…
I loved everything about the Eagle Inn -- the location (you can walk to the Funk Zone or the beach), the ambience, the pillows!, room service breakfast, and especially the staff, who were sincerely welcoming, responsive, and also interesting people. Shout outs to Peter and Ryan for making sure my stay was quiet and comfortable. I stayed in one of the casitas, which are roomy and lovely.
The Eagle Inn has been our home away from home every time we've visited Santa Barbara since 2016. We Never stay Anywhere else. The exceptional quality and hospitality have remained consistent. The Casitas and king rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Some have fireplaces, balconies and jacuzzi tubs. The welcoming lobby has coffee, lemon water and cookies. Breakfast is homemade and has 3 options to choose, including vegan. The beach, Funk Zone, tasting rooms, restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. The Amtrack station is only 2 blocks away, if you're taking the Surfliner. I guarantee you will enjoy your stay.
