Hotel Santa Barbara is one of those long standing, family owned hotels that keeps the customer first in every situation. They have wonderful rooms, dedicated and polite staff and a great location in the downtown area, but also close to the beach. Love it!

We recently spent the weekend in Santa Barbara and stayed at the Hotel Santa Barbara. The hotel's location is excellent - right in the middle of shopping and dining. But visitors should keep in mind the age of the hotel. While the rooms have been updated, the walls are paper thin. Avoid any "01" room as they are next to...

Thank you for your review of the hotel. The hotel has many features original to its construction in 1926, including the cage lift elevator (which has been modified to today's safety standards). We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope you will be back soon.

This hotel is in beautiful Santa Barbara. The newly remodeled hotel is in walking distance to the beach, pier, and marina. Great food and shopping all around this hotel. The staff are amazing, super accommodating and friendly.

Stayed for short time, but the hotel has a perfect location, very central and near the train station. The building is old, but it has an elevator (a bit slow, without my luggage I prefered the stairs). Very nice rooms, confy beds. The staff was friendly and helpful. I wish I could have stayed longer!

The price we paid for this older hotel was expensive because the prices were elevated due to it being labor day. The hotel was quaint, our room and bathroom were a little outdated, however the beds were comfy, the rooms were a good size and they were clean. Staff were helpful although I left my mobile charger and adaption in...

Quaint old hotel with an old fashion charm... Rooms have been updated and are clean. Like most old hotels, the rooms are super noisy and the elevator is an old style with an accordion door. The rooms are clean but super small.

This like many hotels, is a little dated but has charm and is in a good location amongst good shops and nice restaurants. The junior sweet was roomy and very quiet away from busy State Street. The complimentary breakfast is nice but lacks a bit love

Hotel Santa Barbara has a lot going for it. We just spent two nights there, the hotel has character but is in no way old nor needing a facelift. It is beautiful, clean, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, no minibar but a fridge with courtesy water bottles. I paid 563.78$ for two nights, including breakfast. Their breakfast is simple...

We arrived late and needed a room. Very cute lobby in a great location on State Street but they wouldn't negotiate much on the room price or parking charge. The room was clean, view of ugly roofs and postage stamp tiny. Great comfy bed. Nice lobby breakfast (for the US, nothing like Europe) but over $200 for a few hours...

Hotel Santa Barbara has the looks, charm, and authenticity of a historic hotel, with all the modern conveniences, like high-quality mattress and linens, superb service, and (bonus) chocolates! Its location on historic, tree-lined State Street is wonderful, within walking distance to many great restaurants and the ocean! Valet parking was quick and convenient. It's expensive, but so is much of...
