After two nights in another motel, we chose to stay here and I'm glad we did. It's an excellent value for Santa Barbara. We chose the king room with Jacuzzi and it was delightful. We actually did not use the Jacuzzi even though it was certainly available in the room. There was an amazing 65" LG TV with HD in... More

We completed a "reservation request" on Sunset Motel's website for a Queen Room at $75/night. Their auto response is that, "Someone will contact you to confirm the reservation request." After five days with no response, we called and were told "There is no room of that type available at that price." We were instead quoted a price of $229.

Very friendly, personable service hotel. Beautifully decorated room. Complimentary items for day use at the beach, only a few steps away. Convenient access to Anaheim attractions and Pacific Coast highway

The room was o.k. but the mattress was not firm. Also, there is no breakfast room so you take your food from the lobby and eat in your room. Note that the shower/tub floor is slippery and there were no safety rails. I will not be returning.

This is a cute affordable motel. The room was clean and quiet. It is a lovely family owned motel that has character rather than the corporate cookie cutter ambiance. Although we just spent an overnight on a very busy holiday weekend, we were pleasantly surprised by this little gem.

Nicely maintained. A little ways from downtown, but easy to travel by car. Reception was pleasant and efficient. Rooms minimalist, but clean and modern. Only issue was the bed. Squeaky and shakey with springs stronger than the mattress. Recommended if you want a break from the boutique pricing in the city center

I booked the hotel 2 weeks prior to the stay. A couple of days prior to the stay the room was more than 50% cheaper. Naturally we cancelled the first reservation and re-booked at the lower rate. The front office smelled of curry which is fine I suppose if you are in a restaurant but not a hotel office/lobby. We... More

Motels are very expensive there and this was one of the lowest priced. I was expecting run down but found beautiful upgrades and quiet on the busiest street in town. Cleanliness was perfection. Only negative was very cheap toiletries; bring your own shampoo.

OK, it's not down by the wharf, but it's close to Oak Park where the French Festival is each year, as well as being near the Mission, etc.. No pool, but clean and well appointed. Good price. I would recommend it.

Was in Santa Barbara for a concert with the wife and we stayed here. The room was amazing and beautiful. Comfortable bed, large size, felt like I was staying in someone's apartment. It was far more than I expected when I booked a "motel". The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they advertise breakfast is included, but their... More
