Great family stay, stayed in the Edgewater suite which was perfect for a family, plenty of room and space for us all, staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough, free parking, cookies and coffee very welcome, pool and spa were great to relax in, a perfect family stay and great value

We loved the very very clean room and grounds. It was quiet and lovely. The rooms open to the outside (rather than an interior hallway). They are not new, but well kept up. Located just a few blocks from the ocean in the harbor area. The pool was nicely maintained but really too cool to swim in (they told us 80-84 degrees, but it is January!). The hot tub was perfect. It is not located near the pool, so if you enjoy going from hot tub to pool and back, you have to walk to the other side of the property to get to it. Continental breakfast was icky...just bread, prepackaged muffins, and beverages. They did have apples and bananas, which I appreciated. And they have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies from 3 to 5 in the lobby. Free wifi, and the lobby has a printer from which you can conveniently print out boarding passes. Lovely setting!

Located just 1 1/2 blocks from the water, Franciscan Inn is in a very quiet neighborhood but within walking distance of the marina, Stearrns Wharf and State Street. The rooms were extremely clean and very comfortable. It is very well maintained for an older property. All rooms open directly to outside, but the area was very quiet and seemed safe. Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful in answering questions and making suggestions. The "hot" breakfast was the only disappointment. Hot referred to a toaster for bread, English muffins and repackaged bagels and instant oatmeal. There was also fruit and repackaged muffins. I stayed twice during my recent trip and overall was very satisfied.

We chose the Franciscan based in part on its location … close to the waterfront and within walking distance of many restaurants. Recommendation … book a suite. The regular queen room looks like image 5 on the slide show… VERY small and our room at least was beginning to need an upgrade; getting a little worn looking. No reefer or microwave but you can rent a small reefer upon request. That being said, the front office staff were very helpful and the place was very quiet. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again but will book a suite next time.

This hotel is OK for a night or two just to sleep, as long as you don't spend too much time in it.

The cleaniless was decent, could be better. The noise level is equivalent to me having the window open. I think depending on where you stay on the property the noise level can vary. For me, I was on the bottom level near the front and I can hear the housekeepers and gardeners outside. It was hard to sleep in.

The pool is a nice addition, but I avoided it since it was a bit too crowded to adequatly social distance from people.

Blow dryer and coffee maker are provided in the room. The place is a good distance to the beach and to downtown SB.

We are a young family with a baby and this was the perfect fit for us. We stayed in the Manager's Suite and it essentially was a 1-bedroom apartment. A nice sized bedroom, living room and full kitchen.

The location was perfect -- 2 blocked up from the beach and very close to State Street with all the shops and restaurants.

My only issue was the internet was kind of spotty, but that could have been just the location of our room in particular.

A superb motel, the rooms are spacious, well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent, they really went out of their way time make you feel welcome, for example we were given maps and all points of interest within Santa Barbara were pointed out, we were given tickets for the shuttle and the hotel provides tea, coffee and cookies for guests 24/7 (although the cookies were gone when they were gone!) Staff were always friendly and attentive and this made a real difference. There is a small breakfast buffet each morning, this can get busy and there needs to be some additional seating, however it was very tasty and good considering the size of the breakfast area. There is a pool and spa on site, but we never got sound to using them. The motel is walking distance from State Street where the majority of bars, restaurants and shops are located,, it’s also a very short walk to the beach and pier, also a bonus. All in all a great motel.

The staff was very friendly. Cameron was helpful with local suggestions at check-in. The room was well stocked, clean, very functional and spacious. I recommend the suite. The kitchenette fridge was great for leftovers. Ask if balcony room is available. The location is walking distance to some of our favorite restaurants (especially Sambo's for breakfast). The continental breakfast was, well, just that. the fruit was fresh and the coffee hot The boardwalk, beach, marina and wharf are just a few steps away. Being a block off of Cabrillo keeps it pretty quite too. Reasonable off season rate. If they accepted pets we would stay more often.

We loved staying here! The room was quiet and felt private, and was very clean and well maintained. The building we were in had a lovely little courtyard with flowering plants and a fountain in the middle. We had easy access to the beach and restaurants. I greatly appreciated their mask policy :) I had requested that no air fresheners be used prior to our arrival if possible, and was pleased to arrive to a room without a cloud of perfume. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will stay here again.

We also have a Tesla and this hotel does not have a charging location. We found a Tesla destination charger at a hotel two blocks away.
