Stayed 2 nights at the Franciscan Inn. It's in a really convenient location on Bath St being very short walk from Amtrak Station, State Street and of course the waterfront. It's a typical motel style place which is clean but nothing too fancy. An onsite coin laundry was most welcome. Strangley the room we stayed in didn't have either a...

We stayed here for one night on the way to San Francisco to L.A. We paid the same rate than at our previous hotel in Cambria. There is no comparison between Franciscan Inn and the beautiful Sands Pebbles Inn. The good points : free parking, easy access from Highway 1, spacious room, free Hi-fi,close to the beach and a walking...

I spent two nights at the Franciscan Inn for a business trip to Santa Barbara. Location is very good. Just a couple of blocks away from the beach, Stearns wharf, marina, and many ocean view restaurants. Also just a few blocks away from the highway 101. Although you can walk to the downtown center, you probably want to drive to...

After spending one night and 24 hours in Santa Barbara at the end of August, I can comfortably recommend the Franciscan Inn as a decent spot in which to decamp for the night. Located one block from the beach and a 15 minute walk to the pier and the main strip of shops, bars and restaurants, the location was near...

Lovely Inn where we stayed one night. Was expensive at £250 however this may be normal for the area. Close to the beach, clean room, continental breakfast served by very sweet lady, on site parking handy.

About 2 blocks from the Santa Barbara beach area, located on a quiet street. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. The breakfast left something to be desired, but it was better than nothing. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Just returned from a 4-night stay at the Franciscan Inn over Labor Day weekend. The location is great - only a couple blocks from the harbor, but seems even closer when you make the walk. This is also a very quiet neighborhood. For anyone concerned about noise, I can assure you we experienced no noise issues with the place full...

Oh those Franciscan Inn afternoon choc chip or oatmeal cookies with hot beverages or iced water in the lobby - so blissful after a dunk in the pool (8ft deep). But it's the entire package here at the Franciscan Inn that makes it worth the price. Stayed at the pricey Eagle and Harbor House across the street and I did...

This was our second visit in almost a year and it was every bit as good as our first. The double queen on the first floor was clean and comfortable. The staff from housekeeping to Dan at the front desk and Carol hosting breakfast were very good. The housekeeping staff was specially important as my wife was injured mid-way through...

“Bedroom in suites has a VERY inconvient dresser. I can't see in the top drawer or on the top, which limits space to put personal items. Also bathroom could use a place to put clothing, etc. when taking a shower. This has just been a problem the last few years, but it sure is an inconvience.”

“The right faucet in the bathroom sink needs replacement. It can accidentally waste a lot of fresh cold water. Your facilities technician tried to fix it with an adjustment but the fix didn't work.”
