We have spent a couple of my birthday weekends at this hotel. The rooms are charming, the grounds are lovely, and you have to love the Four Seasons style of service. This is a very low key resort, so if you are looking for a peaceful stay, this is the place to go. You are within walking distance of the... More

Wonderfully furnished rooms, attentive staff, pleasant atmosphere, and pet friendly; practically perfect. The layout of the resort is very private; it almost seems like everyone has their own personal cottage. The grounds were very well kept, and with the beach right across the street it was easy to keep both a toddler and dog occupied. The only thing that slightly... More

What a lovely place! From the moment you pull up in your car, the parking attendant is very professional and you don't even worry about the safety of your car! The lobby and corridors are stunningly beautiful and are now decorated beautifully for Christmas - simply amazing! We went to the Sunday Brunch... well, all i can say is 'go... More

I went to college at UCSB and really enjoy the area. Santa Barbara is known for controlled growth and development and placing a high value on open space and the environment. This hotel was a Biltmore many decades ago when land was cheap. It was built with small cottages, two floor maximum then open space and walkway between them. When... More

I booked for 2 nights/3rd night free. However, I knew almost immediately it was not my kind of hotel,i.e., crowded lobby, a wait at the reception desk 3x, noisy, dark, and filled with too much stuff. (In contrast, El Encanto, where we moved is light and airy, quiet but interesting, more modern decor, much easier to move around from guest... More

Everything about this hotel was fabulous! The cottage we stayed in was beautiful and spacious, the bathroom was enormous snd the service impeccable! The resturant in the hotel had wonderful outside seating overlooking the beach, wait staff was friendly and very attentive, and the food was delicious! Would highly recommend this hotel.

This is one of the world's great hotels, and it's got the prices to show for it. But walk out on the gorgeous beach right in front, or swim in the "Coral Casino" next door--have dinner on the patio while the sun sets... heaven!

We drove up to Santa Barbara for a weekend getaway and spent a lazy, relaxed day and a half at Four Seasons. The location is perfect- just across from the sparkling beach and very close to the downtown area that is vibrant with restaurants and shopping. Coming to the property itself. This is an incredibly beautiful, kid friendly property. We... More
