We were there from May 31-June 5, 2022. We had a great time. We requested 2 rooms together and -bonus- they gave us adjoining rooms! Perfect for a family of 4. The location was excellent. Right across from the beach and a quick walk to Stearn’s Wharf and State St. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside and the walkways are a little worn. But the rooms were clean and spacious and had balconies. The breakfast was basic, but fresh and constantly replenished. The people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back!

My daughter and I stayed here and it was one of the few hotels in the area with a room that could accommodate us with a sofa bed and a closed bedroom. The room was mostly clean and pleasant although there was a piece of pizza crust on the other side of the bed. The location is good and we could easily walk the three blocks along the harbour to the main street with restaurants etc. The pool is also good, as was the parking. My big beef with this hotel is that I left my MacBook charger in the room and they didn't contact me nor respond to my emails or calls later the I realized it--although they do text surveys before and after you stay. You know, that charger is worth $80 to replace and so I guess the staff got two tips but still, not a nice thing.

Thank you for taking the time to review us and provide us with this feedback Colin! We are happy to hear you enjoyed the amenities and your stay with us. Our housekeeping staff returns all lost or forgotten items promptly to front desk, and after you contacted us we did search for that missing charger but was nowhere to be found, our apologies for that. We hope to better impress you on your next trip to Santa Barbara. Until then, stay healthy and safe!

The bedroom itself was OK. It had a decent view of the water and was reasonably sized. And the front desk staff were helpful and friendly. But the bathroom was something off an airplane--tight, inconvenient and poorly laid out. The only way two adults could fit is if one was on the commode and the other at the sink or in the bath--otherwise forget it. And while we're on the bathroom, who puts slatted doors on a bathroom and on a privy? That cancels out any privacy, not to mention undercutting the idea of keeping bathroom smells in the bathroom. The mattress was an exercise in pain. In the last 5 years I've stayed in roughly 30 hotels in the US and overseas. This mattress was the worst of the lot. I'd have to go back to the "Peoples' Hotel" in far China to find its equal. I felt as though I was both sinking in to a marshmallow and at the same time having someone apply pressure to my hips and shoulders with an iron bar. Not sure how they accomplished that in one mattress. We tried sleeping with the slider open. For 5 minutes. Far too noisy. And the thin flooring/ceiling meant that we were awakened early in the am by the clomping guests above us. And uncovered parking? I'm sure the seagull who dumped all over my car appreciated that. Look, after 32 countries and as many states, I understand that you're not always going to get--nor should you always expect--luxury. But at 500 a night I should be able to get a decent sized bathroom, a non-torture-device mattress and protected parking. Strongly recommend against.

The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We got there early and were able to park our vehicle and enjoy the area before checking into the room. The location was convenient to the pier and State Street and the room was clean and had everything we needed.

Walked in. Checked in with Chris about a price. Humor in the mix, right outta the gate. He hooked up a great room at a great price tag just under $200. Ocean view. COMFORTABLE BED. Breakfast. The works. Don't think. Just book. Be happy. Go swimming. Enjoy your life.

Great location with free parking which was very welcome after LA. Wonderful sea view and nice little heated pool which the kids enjoyed a splash in. Super friendly and helpful staff made all of us feel welcome. Grab and go breakfast was perfect for us with small kids that want feeding early. Room was comfortable with good shower and WiFi

The place is in the process of being upgraded. There are three floors and only the first floor has been completed. We stayed on the third floor with a balcony over looking the harbor. We sat on the balcony and ate breakfast. Can't ask for anything better. The only negative is the toilet is made for a child as it is only 12 inches high. I would stay here again.

Location was good, it’s a short walk to the wharf. Some dining places nearby as well. However the bathroom is gross & can use some grouting. Also, we booked for a queen bed & was given a room in front of the park with some homeless staring directly at us as we sat on a balcony big enough for a cat. I called the front desk and requested a transfer, preferably with a view of the ocean. I was told it would be a $40 upgrade. I asked if it would be the same room, she said it will be—it’s not. We were given a double bed in front of the elevator (301) & an ocean view where I have to stretch my neck to see it; directly in front of me is another park. I was moved 2 or 3 doors down for $40 and now have a double bed. It’s a ripoff—I felt that the transfer was a downgrade & a waste of my $40, but I was so tired to ask to be moved again (I have 2 small children) but let me tell you, it was the most uncomfortable sleep I’ve ever had. To make matter worst, housekeeping did not even come to take the trash out or fix the bed. Towels & toiletries was not replaced either. Such a disappointment.

Excellent location and value with great amenities and service. Grab and go breakfast was good but could benefit from hard boiled eggs or some protein choices and additional fruit choices as well. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
