Great location; great rooms; exceptional service; great parking. The price was excellent. We will be back every time we come to Santa Barbara. Our deluxe studio was large, comfortable, well appointed and had a full kitchen. It also had a cozy fireplace and the softest bedding. What's not to like.
We needed a hotel for only one night while touring the coast; the reviews are not wrong. Every step of our stay was managed professionally and with the constant friendly charm known to this town. Our room was extremely clean (please tip housekeeping) and wonderfully appointed from the kitchenette to the neat interior design. The grounds allow for parking while encouraging guests to sit in garden areas for coffee, tea…. The convenient location makes the beach, pier, wharf, and State Street for shopping all within easy walking distance. Breakfast items including biscotti and fruit are offered to accompany the coffee available in each room. The nighttime chocolates are a bonus. Checkout can be extended for a small fee. All the staff we encountered from housekeeping to the front desk (Tanya, Aaron, and Cody) seemed to love their jobs as they were keen to enhance our stay. Kudos to hardworking people! We didn’t have time to use the cruiser bikes (free of charge, well maintained, and even a beautiful colour), so we just have to return this week. Room number 7 was ideal for us, and in a few days we will experience room 9 at this quiet, quaint, unique and affordable family owned hotel.…
My wife and I just returned from a two week trip to SB. Again, our experience with Cody and Karen, as well as all the staff, was excellent. We had originally thought of an Air B & B, but the location and amenities at Harbor House are unsurpassed. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well stocked with utensils, the parking is most convenient, and all the furnishings are comfortable. The best feature is the location as you can easily walk to the marina, the pier, the beach, and numerous restaurants.
Harbor House Inn is a gem. It’s in great location—quiet but close to the beach and lower State St. For travelers like us who don’t need a pool or a gym, this is a fantastic choice. It’s neither a cookie-cutter chain, nor an overpriced boutique. Highly recommend.
I had to travel to Santa Barbara during the winter storms this January to pick up my camper van after some repairs and 'home improvements'. All trains were cancelled because there was a little damage to the tracks so I was on the bus and arriving after 10 pm. It was just a short walk over to the Harbor House on Bath St and Santa Barbara feels very safe and well lit at night. The after hours check in was easy, my room was there with one light and the heat turned on so I felt very welcomed the minute I stepped into my room. Lovely place! There are at least three Harbor something inns, This inn, Harbor House Inn is one a block from the water and comparatively affordable. I certainly would recommend this inn to anyone who had to visit Santa Barbara or choose to visit for a holiday. …
We had a great stay at Harbor House Inn. The office staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and in great condition. Bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious with excellent amenities. Great value for the quality of the facility and location!
The HarborHouse has it all in a studio like setting - clean, comfortable, kitchen, great location etc. and a very welcoming staff with fruit and fun food when needed - I would highly recommend the hotel
Check in was effortless with Aaron recommending restaurants and wineries nearby. We unfortunately didn’t get to use the cruiser bikes but they looked good and are a great benefit of staying at harbour inn.
What a great place to stay and celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in unit 118C which gave us a full size kitchen so we could eat some meals in the unit. Karen and Cory are so welcoming and accommodating. They provide aluminum water bottles which they will refill daily. they also provide fresh fruit, granola bars, and biscotti in the office. The unit was absolutely immaculate. The shower is the best we've ever had; it's even better than ours at home. The towels are thick and soft. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the unit was very quiet so it was easy to get a great night's sleep. I love their concern for the environment. This will definitely be our new go to place when we visit Santa Barbara. The location is ideal...so easy to walk to the marina or start a bike ride. Thanks, Karen and Cody, for making this such an enjoyable stay.…
Great little hotel in a perfect location. Friendly staff and clean, well appointed rooms. Nice finishing touches that made our stay more homey. Also loved their recommendations for restaurants and things to do during our stay.
