This was an excellent place to stay with a young child (about 4 years old). The breakfast selection was good and convenient (oatmeal, pastry selection, bagels, fruit, mini quiches, yogurt parfaits, kirkland pre-packaged hard boiled eggs, orange juice, coffee and tea). We were able to walk to the front lobby and back to our room with our morning breakfast in under 1 minute. There was a full kitchen in our suite (oven, full fridge, microwave, stove, sink, dishes, potato masher etc all included), and a dining room table. 7-11 and a gas station for necessities was about a 5-8 minute walk across the street. The beds were brand new (whole family LOVED the sofa bed, surprisingly). A few cons: the walls were thin so we heard people outside and upstairs walking around after hours, the walls and the kitchen/bathroom were a bit dated (but the convenience outweighed the aesthetic), and the water pressure for the shower was a little weird - only very hot water got you any good pressure, otherwise it was a bit of a drip situation. Not the greatest, but it won't stop us from staying here again with all the other great things. Staff were all super nice and helpful. …
Here with my husband, stayed a week, my first time to SB. Roomy, clean, and comfortable; close to beach, restaurants, downtown. Everything in walking distance but free bikes readily available. My favorite part was the free breakfast which we ate by the pool daily. Good variety, egg frittatas, yogurt parfaits, oatmeal, baked goods. Very accommodating front desk staff and housekeepers; pool and hot tub cleaned often. We’d stay here again.
We loved this place. Everyone was so nice. Our suite #7 was very comfortable and super spacious. We had semi private balcony seating outside our door--it was great. The breakfast was great--you must try the green tomatillo salsa--the ladies in the kitchen make it and it is so so good. This is where we will stay when we return to Santa Barbara
Located three blocks from the beach and a 15 minute stroll to The harbor or Stearns Wharf. Formerly an apartment complex, the property is cozy with a small pool. Rooms include a full kitchen and bedroom separated from the living room. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free bicycles are a real bonus. Breakfast included hot oatmeal, yogurt parfaits, mini quiches with homemade tomatillo, pastries. There is also a daily wine tasting with snacks. We would certainly return.
Hotel is a Boutique Hotel which we usually don’t stay at. It was priced competitively with other hotels are the time. Benefits, the location you are less than a mile one way from Sterns Wharf or the Yacht harbor, so walking was great. You are about a mile plus to State St. Room had been refurbished, a little kitchen, dining, sofa area, nice bed, and walk-in shower. At first impression, my wife was it’s older, retro-hotel outside walkways, I don’t want to stay here. However, we did and enjoyed our stay. Pool and hot tub we nice and met some new friends from Wales. Continental breakfast offered egg bites, oatmeal, good bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal and coffee. Same standard hotel fare, but better. Hotel staff was pleasant, accommodating and responsive. We requested another iron and ironing board and the brought it within minutes. I don’t know what Boutique means but, I think this is it. I read these reviews to help me find a place to stay. I gave this hotel a four star vs a three, because of location, service and they were trying hard. My review could have been a three. So, if you are looking for brand new and beautiful, this is not your place. If based on what I previously described, I think it’s a good alternative, based on the competition. And, most importantly the question, would I stay there again? My answer is yes, but still open to consider other options.…
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! The staff is the most hospitable, accommodating, and welcoming I’ve ever encountered. You can tell that they take tremendous pride in their hotel and delivering the best experience possible.
Comfortable and pleasant hotel in a good location not far from the beach, reasonable price for the location (which is expensive). Breakfast was adequate but not great, pool is small, property and rooms could use a little updating and sprucing up. Service was very nice though. Not an experience that will wow you, but a decent place to stay with kids.
Great little 3 star hotel with awesome service. Best thing is the location as it’s close to the harbor, beaches, Stearns Wharf, Funk Zone and short walk or ride share to State Street. StY also includes free use of nice bikes, great continental breakfast and happy hour with nice wine and snacks from 4:30 to 6:30 plus a bottle of champagne in your room!
We were delighted with the staff who were exceptionally welcoming and professional from making and changing our reservation a few times to check in and check out. The property is beautiful with arches, pool, outdoor seating, and Bouganvillea flowers everywhere. Parking great and an easy 2 minute drive or 5 minute walk to the main town. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of options. After staying at another property right in Santa Barbara near the wharf, that was dreadful to say the least, I recommend Brisas Del Mar. Reasonably priced too compared to the other hotels in town.
Amazing Californian hospitality and service. Very pretty hotel with small pool and hot tub along with charming seated areas. We had a King suite with sofa bed along with a kitchenette and good sized bathroom. Everything thoughtfully appointed and an excellent location for walking to the beachfront, shops and restaurants - lovely atmosphere and the staff could not be more welcoming or helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay … thank you so much.
