We stayed in the King suite with a family of 4 and enjoyed the extra space and separation from our kids. The room was spacious and comfortable. We like the location, including walking distance to the beach where we caught the sunset while our kids played in the sand. It was also a short drive to State Street where we got dinner. We really like the reception area, including the complimentary cookies, coffee and tea. Highly recommended!
We frequently visit Santa Barbara and have stayed at numerous hotels in Santa Barbara near the beach. We especially liked the mason Beach Inn. The rooms have been redone and are tastefully decorated. The corridors are clean and there is a elevator. Staff was very helpful. There is parking, a large lot but beware it is $12. Located on a quiet street very close walk to the beach.
Room was cute and clean, we had one bedroom king suite. Provided enough space for our family of four to spread out a little. Property seemed well maintained. Staff was friendly, lobby snacks and bevs were a nice bonus. The location was so close to the water making nice walks, beach, and many restaurants accessible.
Situated just off the 101, and a very short walk to the beach, this was a modern and chic hotel. Parking had to be paid for, but the service was friendly and coffee was free at reception. The pool was compact but always a free space for residents. The jacuzzi was a nice addition. 10 minute stroll to the start of the Santa Barbara Main Street. Nicely located.
Clean & cozy place..just a bit tight, but sufficient for a restful sleep. Not many amenities offered, aside from in-room coffee/tea & cookies at lobby. Bike rental available for a fee $30/4 hours. Location is ideal since close to the beach & downtown.
This was the first time my wife and I stayed at Mason Beach, but it won't be the last! The location is perfect...walkable to many restaurants, the Funk Zone and of course the ocean. The bed was comfy, plus there was a nice couch and chair in the room, the shower excellent, and the wif-fi above average. A lovely small pool and plenty of parking. No coffee maker in the room, was a bummer, but it's always in the lobby. I suggest a second floor room, facing the pool.
Stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed it. The location can't be beat - very close to the pier and the funk zone. Bed was comfortable, AC worked just fine, and shower was great. I would definitely stay here again.
Prior to verification of my credit card bill, I would have said the Mason Beach Inn was "nice". We stayed 3 nights in October, Sunday-Wednesday. Purchased a Travelzoo voucher prior to booking, which stated you could extend our two night stay at a special price. Without being told at check-in I was being charged more than $300 for the Tuesday night. Ridiculous!! Had I been told it wasn't $189 when I made the reservation I would have stayed somewhere else. With speaking with Tanya (manager) about the increased charge, there was no apologies or explanation as to why, on a weekday night in OCTOBER their would be that much discrepancy in charge. There were many lovely hotels and Inns in the area with vacancies, look for one other than the Mason Beach Inn.
What a beautiful inn! The decor was all blues and coastal! Bedding was so luxurious! Very clean! Staff was extremely friendly. Loved the pool and spa area. We loved the coffee/tea bar/ cookies in the lobby. The location was 1 small block to the ocean and marina. Can’t wait to return again!
Nice rooms, comfortable beds. Great pool area. Close to beach and harbor. Definitely an upgrade from motels in the air. Rooms were very quiet, didn't hear anyone outside or in the halls. Cookies and coffee in the lobby were nice.
