In a great area on state street with lots of places to walk to the downtown are is about a mile and half walk. We would have given an extra point if a few small things were fixed or changed. We had to swap our first room as TV and safe deposit weren’t working. This might mean the batteries need changing only a small thing that causes issues. Both rooms we had the front door opens and smashed into the bathroom door again easy fix and stops damage. The second room we moved into never had any towels but the young staff member was amazing and so helpful got us them within minutes. Think her name was Annie she has great people skills and very helpful. When we did find the towels in our second room they were thrown on top of wardrobe covering empty beer cans and empty vodka bottle. Again the amazing Annie came and cleared away, the issues we encountered weren’t huge but we are laid back and on holiday so wouldn’t let it ruin our stay. With an emphasis on better house keeping or maybe a more experienced manager this place good be great. Free parking was a bonus and another reason we didn’t score really low.

Perfect location if you want to be near all the action! They are within walking distance from all the shops, restuarants, and a few attractions in downtown Santa Barbara.
The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly. They don't have breakfast, but there is a diner on the corner that serves delicious breakfast. And there is a 7-11 on another corner if you want something to grab and go.
I would stay here again on my next visit.

We wanted to stay close to the center and it was. We walked everywhere from here. The place was clean and staff was courteous. I liked that the room had a safe deposit. It did not have fridge, but I did not expect it for the price. Our expedia reservation showed city view when I was. booking. There was no city view from our room. This would have made no difference when I booked it, but it was interesting that it was listed.
Will definitely stay at this place again when we visit next time.

Stayed here for a night traveling down the coast. Way overpriced for what you get. The room barely kept any sound out and the bed smelled old and musty. Bathroom was pretty dirty and also very tiny. Gf was coughing all night from the dust, seemed like they did the bare minimum of cleaning it. Homeless people on the street right outside made lots of noise and also could hear every step of kids running on the concrete walkways outside. Traveler beware!

Oh, it was less than a Motel 6. The best thing we can say is that it was somewhat clean.
The bed was hard. The sheets were thin and scratchy. The towels were so old an thin.
The door had an almost 1 inch gap, pretty much any critter could crawl through.
Drips of paint on the shower and floor.
No curtain rods.
No chair. We had beach chairs luckily, that we could use.
It had a small, sad patio, that looked like a prison yard. Couldn't go out there as the door was locked.
And the TV! Unless you had a paid service that you could log into you were out of luck!
What a hell hole.

I stayed here last weekend to help my girlfriend move out of her college dorm. We stayed here because of its price and location, but we ended paying more. We discovered the next day that we got LICE from the room. You would assume that's as bad as it gets, but nope. The real treat was the manager Gabe. His customer service and professionalism was awful, one of the worst customer interactions I have ever had. When I informed him and asked for a refund he hung up on me. Even worse he gave us some made up number to a manager that had a number that was no longer in service. I strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to avoid it and Gabe!

We stayed here one night because we were on a budget. It is not worth the savings. The faucet in the shower would not turn off and maintainance never came to fix it (we checked out and the water was still running), ants in the bathroom, super thick pillows that were impossible to sleep on, gross carpet. I can't believe I stayed here one night. You are better off to stay at the Motel 6 near the beach and take a taxi to State Street for shopping and restaurants.

We stayed here for one night in early August and found it to be excellent, the room was newly decorated, clean and very spacious and we had our own balcony that was nice come the evening. The hotel is around 2 miles from the beach at the other end of State Street, however it is only around half a mile to the hustle and bustle of the town where there are numerous bars and restaurants and we certainly enjoyed the walk. The only thing that let this place down was the breakfast, no more then a coffee and a cake. We stayed on a Thursday night so it was also not too expensive, the price doubled come the weekend.

I wasn't big on this place because the carpet was like a dark blue (almost black). You didn't know if it was dirty or not but there were signs that the maid did not vacuum up crumbs in some spots so I never was bare foot. Which was annoying. Very old looking inside. The shower was a dark small hole with an old shower curtain that was wet. The bathroom was super small. I only spent one night here and if I didn't like it at all. It seems like the type a place you would bring a hooker to. If your on a budget go to the Best Western where at least you get a clean and updated room. You still have to drive to the heart of downtown State street from this location too. You can't walk it is too far of a walk.

No, this place isn't great, but for the money, and considering how much most hotels in Santa Barbara cost, I'd say it sure beats sleeping in the car! While it is a budget accomodation, it had everything we required (didn't have a hair dryer, but when we asked at the front desk, one was supplied to us.) The bathroom was small and the shower was strange, but it got the job done. We only stayed for one night and didn't spend much time in the room, so it was perfectly suited to our needs. If you are planning a longer stay or need some luxury, this place probably isn't for you, but if you are just passing through or are on a budget, I would definitely recommend.

When I booked in later August it was "No charge if canceled 2 days (48Hours) earlier. If canceled after that, they will charge you 100% for the first night.". I hope it helped.
