I had booked a room at another hotel on Hotwire and when I arrived at the hotel they were overbooked. The desk clerked then confirmed a credit back to my Visa & then referred me to Mariani's Inn which was suppose to be a comparable type hotel. The outside of the property reminded me of a aging motel in need...

*****BEWARE*****: Our visit started out bad when we got to our room that was for three people and had one queen bed (we knew this) but absolutely NO other place to sleep besides on the floor on the industrial grade carpet on concrete. When we called the front desk to ask about a roll away they said that it was...

Dingy motel. Cramped parking lot. Dirty chipped paint on doors, walls. I would give it 1.5 stars if I could but not 2. Dirty stained outside passageways to rooms. Small motel-style room and bathroom, even the bed-coverings are old motel scratchy blanket and stiff bedspread. Thin towels, cheesy thin bars of soap. OK, yes, it's a motel and does nothing...

We selected it b/c of the promise of an airport shuttle and the fact oath other well known brands near the airport were over $250/night. We intended to drop off our rental car the evening before our flight. Because we were not arriving via airplane the hotel refused to pick us up and we had to spring for a taxi....

My family & I stayed at this establishment for two days. Although the place seemed pretty run down and needed many upgrades as far as the rooms were concerned. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. A few days later when we reached LA we recognized on our bank statement they charged us an EXTRA $300.00. When I called and questioned...

This property is fine as long as you request the rooms in the very back away from the pool. (rooms whose back portion face a residential street) These rooms have nice southern exposure, are clean and well -maintained. On our stay there in April, we were put in a different area, the "overflow" section and we found the room to...

Took a recent trip to Santa Clara for my daughters tumbling meet. We made the mistake of not booking a hotel before we got there and somehow came up with this gem on Expedia. The pictures LIE!!! This hotel is a complete tear down. The beds are horrible, the decor is from the 1980's, it was dirty, it was stinky,...

Of course Mariani’s is old – it is a historic hotel. That’s its appeal. Mariani’s is like a time capsule that transports its guests back into the past, to the birth of the Silicon Valley in the early 1960s. The facility is well maintained and clean. A good value for guests who stay there.

Close to the intersection of El Camino and San Tomas, the location is great, you can walk to many restaurants, starbucks, and bank. What this hotel needs is remodeling, and it needs it NOW! I am sure residents of the area have good memories of this hotel, but everything is sooo old. Rooms are spacious, especially the "suites". The suites...
