Found this place randomly while traveling through Santa Cruz. The price was great compared to other hotel/motels in the area (it was a weeknight and I do believe the price increases on the weekend). The room was very clean, shower pressure great, bed comfortable, and...More
I was really pleased with this place at the time of my stay but I developed hot tub folliculitis after staying here, which means there was bacteria in the hot tub due to poor maintenance or an incorrect chlorine level of the water. Look it...More
We were driving down the coast and looking for an overnight stay. The reviews and photos on trip advisor helped us decide. Thr room was clean and appears to be recently updated. The double shower was an especially nice touch!

Based on my own experience---I traveled a lot with three kids, each two years apart---it depends on the age of the children. If they're still relatively small, like preschool, I doubt if three kids sharing a single bed would be a problem. What hotels don't like is when guests try to sneak in more adults and teens than there are beds to a room. It's a violation of the fire code, which hotels are on the hook for if the guests are caught. That said, the Ocean Pacific Lodge is a family-run hotel; I'd talk to the manager if you have any doubts. Chances are they'll be flexible, but for older children they may insist you rent an extra folding bed.
