Nice, clean place with walking distance to the beach and Boardwalk. They greeted us with a smile and since our flight was early , they were nice enough to let us check in early.
I would definitely recommend to someone that wants to be close...More
We Enjoyed our visit to Santa Cruz. The inn was very accommodating and close to all the attractions. The Boardwalk & restaurants are within walking distance. If you are traveling in October, bring a coat. We would definitely stay there again.
My fiance decided to stay a night at the Comfort Inn for my birthday celebration. We called for a price for one night and Ankor gave us 2 options, but they were a bit higher than we wanted to spend. He then gave us a...More
Well appointed inn with very kind, accommodating staff. Very clean. Close to the beach. Cozy. Great breakfast spread. Highly recommend this inn to those looking for an affordable place to stay in Santa Cruz close to the Boardwalk.
As far as hotels go this Comfort Inn was below average. Although the price was quite reasonable for the location and what we got. My issues were that the rooms are accessed only from exterior vs interior hallways (it’s a safety thing for me). We...More

I can't remember if we had a refrigerator in our room, however, they are listed as part of the room amenities on some web sites. I would suggest calling the hotel directly to make sure you have in your room.

I am a police officer and stayed in the area. I didn't feel unsafe but like I said am a police officer and was armed. I would recommend you go and I would stay in the Hampton across the street from where we stayed the address is Hampton Inn 1505 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz, California, 95060, The area is decent and isn't any different than any other community; however, be careful in the area directly around the boardwalk. The boardwalk is safe just don't venture out into the community on foot alone. Daylight hours are great it is night when you should be cautious.
The boardwalk is worth a visit and we had a good time there. The beach on the boardwalk is great and clean as well. Depending on how long you are at the boardwalk will dictate where you will park. All day park in the 15 dollar lot. If only there for a few hours use the street metered parking. 1.50 for 2 hours. We had no difficulties at all.
We stayed at the comfort Inn and if you are only three you should be fine with 2 queen beds in a standard room. I was unhappy with the Comfort Inn. Because of noise and parking. Don't make your self a target and you will be fine. Have safe travels and enjoy yourself. If you are driving invest in a gps. It is the best investment you will make taking a trip and being in areas you are not familiar with trust me. Hope this helped...

"We were on the ground floor which was nice, so we didn’t have to carry our luggage upstairs."
