Stayed at the Sea Shore Motel for one night. Booked reservation through email (no on-line reservations), so was concerned about cyber security, but seemed ok. Staff was pleasant...Room was fine with 2 double beds, table with chairs, and tiny fridge. Tile floors with beach decor, seemed clean enough. Street noise was loud at times, but my sister paid twice as...

Very helpful staff. Facilitated an early check-in. This was much appreciated after a long haul flight! Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Only a short bus ride to 3rd st promenade or santa monica pier.

Great hotel! We stayed in a suite, which was perfect for our party of 6. It was like a one bedroom apartment, with a nice-sized kitchen, big dining room table and ample seating on the sectional sofa. The balcony of our second story room hung out over Main Street, with a lovely view of the grounds across the street which...

This is a classic beachside motel within easy walking distance to the majesti beach. After hours plenty of places to eat and drink on any budget. Market across the road on Sundays and close to the crazy Venus Beach and iconic Santa Monica Pier. Be warned though if you are a light sleeper like me it can be a little...

Just returned home from a ten days stay in LA / Santa Monica. Journey was fantastic and a good reason for being so was our stay at the Seashore Motel with its classic California atmosphere. The location of the motel on the funky Main Street is a delight and the beach is only a few minutes walk away. Price is...

This was my second stay at the Sea Shore Motel and it is a great place. If you like personal attention, a clean and cozy atmosphere in a great location then I highly recommend it. The first time there we stayed with our teenage boys in one of the apartment/suites and it was perfect for us. This time we stayed...

Sea Shore Motel is a 15 minute drive from LAX and is convenient to most LA locales that a tourist would have at the top of their list. We based ourselves here for a week and it was great. I'd certainly recommend it to those planning to drive in LA - as well as being convenient, it has free parking....

Great place - earlier reviews about noise are silly - especially if you stay in one of the suites in the back - super quiet. Beds were comfy and I really enjoyed the surrounding area. Easy to walk to great assortment of amazing restaurants and shopping, as well as the beach. Venice Boardwalk is a short drive or long walk...

Yes, you can easily walk to the beach! The Santa Monica pier is a bit further but still easily walkable as is Venice beach. On Sunday there is a farmers market (with all kinds of yummy treats) across the street from the motel. Some natural jewelry (crystals) booths had great prices. Also across the street (on the corner) is the...

We stayed for 1 night on 30th Sept. The Motel is easy to find from LAX airport, directions found on the website were very good. We arrived at approx 9.30 pm and checked in easily. We didn't have any issues with noise, our room was situated on the ground floor by the car park (which was free and accessible. This...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
