Horrifying false advertising... and a staff to match it! Dubious they've ever stayed in a hotel, much less been trained for hospitality. Like a garage conversion with more mis-matched furnishings off a curbside discard the last day at college.
Place is nice and clean. It’s located not that far from Santa Monica pier, close to the street. The only problem that I had is that you could easily hear what is going on in other rooms. Other than that it’s very nice place to stay. Staff was very kind and helpful
I stayed here 2 nights and really liked it. I had a good sized room and shared the bathroom down the hall. As a solo traveler I felt totally safe and secure in the hotel and neighborhood. I asked for a microwave and they brought one to my room. The bathroom was fine and every time I used it were no other guests in it. They have one set of washer/dryer for guest use and they worked fine. The price was very reasonable.
This place was better than I had expected! I arrvied late and check in was very easy took no more than 5 minutes to get my keys and I was very tired after a long flight so this was great. I was worried about the shared bathroom but they were very clean! Other reviews said that it was noisey which I couldn't understand I slept like a log with no problem I would say it was pretty quite and relaxed . good location coffee shops near by and traders joe supermarket about a 5 -10 min walk down the neighbourhood - a nice walk . Whenever I left a sighn for maid service it was always done nicley would stay here again hopefully it remains as clean as it was.
We stayed 3 nights to experience Santa Monica in one of the cheapest but okay-rated hotels, bearing in mind that it is still quite expensive when you are on a budget. The room was small with a comfy bed, sink, fridge and microwave. There isn't a lot of space in the room for luggage but is enough to open up 2 suitcases. The bathroom were okay - 2 toilets and 2 showers in the ladies and males. In the ladies, one toilet kept blocking and one didn't lock. There was one hook by the showers. The cleaners decided to clean the bathroom at 9am everyday, at the busiest time everyone is wanting to shower! Told to go downstairs and use another bathroom and queue for ages. Then the bathrooms were dirty again after everyone was ready in the morning! Stayed over the weekend and it was quite noisey but quieter on monday. Overall, it was a bed to sleep in and the actual room was clean but 3 nights was enough.…
Smelly and noisy.no friendly, no private bathroom. do not recommend. In same area u can find much better places.if not , pay extra and get more than you will expect. will never stay in this hotel again.
My boyfriend and I stayed there over the weekend. The room was small but very clean and the shared bathrooms were also clean and didn’t smell. We also never had to wait to use the bathroom or take a shower. It was a 10 minute drive from the beach and along the way there were plenty of stores or places to eat. I really liked the mini fridge to keep water cold. We also enjoyed the OP cafe. They had great coffee and great food!! I would stay here again. The price was great.
nice old little Hotel from the golden age of Los Angeles. But privacy in your room is not really possible to find with those thin wooden doors. And specially the night service is very unfriendly! For this prize you will find better solutions.
We knew what we booked and we got an excellent warm welcome everyday, specially with the manager and the girl working in the afternoons. The room was neat and clean and the hotel is taken good care off. Even thought I was concerned of the shared bathroom it was top. Always clean and no busyness at all. A good asset to all is the Ocean Park Cafe restaurant where we had amazing breakfasts many times. The location was perfect for us because we saw a lot of LA and is a perfect start point if you wanna enjoy LA and surroundings for more days. For us was a great deal money wise and experience wise. Keep it up!
Hotel was more like a luxury hostel with communal toilets and showers but can’t fault the cleanliness.free parking and great location to venture out from to see all that Santa Monica has to offer.there is a 24 hour security guard so felt really safe.if your on a budget traveling this is the place to stay.
