Very relaxing environment. The staff is very friendly and they provided me good concierge service. Rooms are clean, descent and simple. Suitable for travelers wanting to save money without high demands.

Nice look outside, pure inside. Hotel has a good location if you going to visit Santa Monica Pier or Venice. You even may go for a 30min walk there. But inside cabins have very pure and skimp setting. Look people, simple things also could be convenient! Just add another one outlet to the room, set up whatever one hook in...

This place is great...as long as you like: - hair in your bed - a bed that was purchased from a thrift shop...in the 50s - a heater that sounds like a second-hand two-stroke - a bathroom with no tiles but a bedroom with tiles - a fixed shower head at nipple height - bars of soap made from what...

Not expensive at all , ok room, clean and quiet. It's not far away from the Pier and Venice Beach and the centre of L.A. Not for posh visitors who need silken sheets. Basic but overall very good deal. Wifi is not fantastic.

I booked this place today after finding it on a price comparison website and noting it was the cheapest hotel in the area. It is a two/three minute drive from the Santa Monica Pier. That's the only positive. The staff are rude and couldn't care less. The rooms are dirty, really dirty. Bugs, grime, hair, and unpleasant smells. There was...

Booked this accommodation for myself and teenage son. Was pleasantly surprised that we had separate rooms. The motel is great value - it's not five star and it is missing a couple of basics like a kettle and bedside lamps, but it is clean and safe and staff are friendly. There is free coffee and cookies every morning. We walked...

Had such a great experience here. Room was big, bed was comfortable and staff was pleasant. Free undercover parking right next door to your room. Hotel was two miles away from beach. And it cost us like $89 per night. Such a good deal!!

We booked this hotel because we didn't want to spend $300-$700for a single night and the rooms at $200 were all booked up. My BF booked it from one of these sites. These guys only had 2 rooms left so we got it without looking(actually he did). So this place is about 10-15mins from Santa Monica pier and when we...

This is a quirky place. The beds were comfortable and it was clean. There are no niceties such as ice or coffee in the room.It was quiet except for the drunk college students returning at 2a.m. Parking requires some skill. In another town I would have felt that I had overpaid however Santa Monica is very expensive.

This place is the epitome of "you get what you pay for". The decor is very bare bones which is okay because I go to the beach to go out not stay in but this place is really rundown (missing light bulbs, tv not working to name a few things). There is no air conditioning which is okay on the...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
