We love the Georgian. The building stands out among the others is Ocean Blvd. It has a cute Blue! historical facade with an outdoor terrace restaurant busy with people having lunch or tea. The Rooms are spacious, clean, modern and reasonably priced. So we took a suite overlooking the ocean. Very comfortable. The service is personalized and friendly. It is...

The rooms are large bathroom a little bit small but that still does the job nicely...The rooms seem to have been recently renovated in a very nice moden and good quality furnishings.. Well, lets start with the good points. Location – couple of blocks from 3rd street promenade, near the pier and the beach. Breakfast – good quality and plentiful (although country potatoes came with EVERYTHING even eggs Benedict so I’d recommend asking for no potatoes). The room – standard room had 2 queen beds and plenty of space (plus a side...

We stayed at the Georgian hotel for 2 nights The positives: -great location in front of Santa Monica pier -funky original decor -good sized room -great vintage bathroom. We loved the tiles and bath products -we opted for the parking/breakfast package, which was very economical -the breakfast was amazing both mornings we ate here -the restaurant and valet staff were...

The hotel room was very clean. We had a beach front room overlooking the Santa Monica Pier and out to Malibu. The only let down was the size of the room, it was very small. If we were staying for one night, then it would have been OK but for anything longer than 2 nights I would have chosen a...

We had a good stay here for 10 nights in October. Expedia hadnt apparently made our special request for separate beds clear and so our first night was in a disabled access room changing to another room for the remaining nights. This was mildly inconvenient, as couldnt relax or unpack properly . We were then told there was no need...

I thought this was a great place to stay in Santa Monica. I got a reasonable price on a bed and breakfast package with free valet parking. We had a partial ocean view with two queen sized beds. The room was nicely decorated and I thought it had ample space for myself and my two teen-aged sons. The location was...

Had only 1 night to spend in Santa Monica so we picked The Georgian which was right across the street from the beach. Unfortunately, it was foggy so we could not see the ocean during our visit. We could walk to the pier and the Third Street Promenade which we really enjoyed.

Having spent alot of time reading reviews of hotels in Santa Monica, my wife and I decided on a 3 night stay at the Georgian Hotel. Unfortunately we found a mostly different hotel to the one described by most of the previous reviewers. From the moment we walked into the hotel there was an air of tiredness. The elevators being an...

We stayed at the Georgian for our last evening of a five week holiday across the US. It was a lovely end to a perfect holiday, the hotel room was clean and well appointed while still staying true to the art deco charm of this beautiful 1930s hotel. We had an ocean view room that looked out onto the Santa...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
