Perfectly located, across from the beach, Santa Monica pier one block down, and the 3rd street promenade and Santa Monica Place, a block or two behind. I liked the fact that the hotel is non-smoking. The hotel has character, the staff are quite friendly and helpful, and it is in a good location.

This hotel is excellent if you are staying in Santa Monica. It's a few minutes walk to the beach and within walking distance of Santa Monica Pier. You can also walk to Venice beach from the hotel within 20mins or so. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfy and unlike some other hotels in the area, this hotel has character....

Great location in Santa Monica. Close to pier and the shopping district. Heaps of restaurants and sights to see. Venice Beach is a short walk away but it is a bit of a dump!!

My wife, daughter, and myself just had the perfect 5 days in Los Angeles and the Georgian Hotel was the icing on the cake ! This hotel has so much charm with such a nice laid back pace ( unlike other chains that cater to big business ) and ultra clean, It was the perfect place to start and end...

If you get tired of the manic pace, and the slick atmosphere of most major upscale hotels, well the Georgian is your place. The hotel itself is a beautiful piece of the history of Santa Monica... very lovingly preserved; the atmosphere is one of elegance and relaxation. Stepping inside, it feels as though you have stepped back in time. The...

I have stayed in many hotels and love a few of them and this hotel is added to the "love list". We stayed in an oceanfront king suite with the package deal-parking, 2 lunches, 2 breakfast and 2 drinks, taxes all included. We had the french toast with fruit for breakfast and it was fabulous-we are southerners and it was really...

This hotel was a great way to start our California holiday. I spent ages checking hotels on trip advisor and although this hotel was more expensive than some, it was worth it. We had a standard double room without sea view, but this suited us as the rooms at the front of the hotel are situated on the main road...

This was the most expensive night of our trip, and I'm still not really sure why. I think a lot of the excessive price tag is made up of excessive rents required to be on the beachfront in "trendy" Santa Monica, but the hotel itself - while different - wasn't jawdropping. The decor was erm, interesting; a strange mix of...

We enjoyed a large Ocean View Suite on high-floor with great views of the Pacific and Santa Monica Pier (2 adutls and one child). Unable to judge about standard room, though. Ok, there is no pool and state-of-the art exercise room but you won't miss it. The hotel is art-deco and doesn't provide amenities and service of a modern 5-star...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
