We stayed for two nights and the first thing you realize when you come to this hotel is the warm welcome of hotel staff. The rooms are not fancy but they are clean and cute. Sitting in the cafe besides the ocean is great. Breakfast is good. It is very near to Santa Monica Pier and Promenade.

Arriving at the Georgian after driving for an hour through L.A. traffic was like coming home. Two bellman came right out to unload our bags and waited while we checked in. Ramy was very patient while we explained we had an extra person checking in with us. He offered to let us see a different room and explained what was...

I love Santa Monica, I love the pier. This hotel is pricey but very nice. View is unbeliavable. If you stay here, visit Promenade to shop. Miss Sixty is my favorite store there. It's a lifetiem experience to listen to all the street performers.

We first stayed at Georgian about a year ago and were very happy to go back. The Georgian is right on Ocean Boulevade so rooms facing the ocean have great views of the Santa Monica boardwalk. The hotel is also about a 4 minute walk to Third Street Promonade which is a great shopping and restaurant strip and also about...

Stayed 3 nights and loved every second. Decor is sensational and although rooms tend to be small they are authentic 30's fare. The original Speakesy is still there. Having a drink on the terrace watching the world go by was a joy and the staff have to be up there with the best, not stuffy but genuine and helpful. Only...

Everyone knows this place as it is the oldest hotel in Santa Monica. It certainly stands out too, spot the colour scheme. We took advantage of a suite package deal that offered breakfast, lunch, a couple of drinks, parking and tax. Well worth it and the food really was excellent. Portions for 2 fed 3 of us with ease. Lunchwise The...

I only stayed two nights here but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My room was very clean and comfortable and while it was facing the back, without much of a view, it was very quiet. I had a lovely meal of seafood pasta on the front terrace on the first night, watching the sun go down over the road. If you...

We stayed last week at The Georgian for the 3rd time and really enjoyed it! While our room was rather small, it was certainly adequate, and we enjoyed the decor of the bathroom and nice amenities! You can't beat the location--right across from the beach and a block from the Pier! Everyone was helpful and accommodating! We prefer non-chain hotels...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
