Travelling is more complicated for us now that our son is 14 and his sister is 11. We needed more space, but not two rooms. The Georgian had the perfect room. A large living area with a fold out bed and a day bed. Perfect for the kids. My wife and I had our own room with a sitting area....

1 night stay as part of a road trip, we had a room with an outlook over the beach, staff very friendly and accomodating, the canopy was being updated whilst we were there so we had to take cocktails indoors, minor annoyance. great hotel to stay at, walking distance to everything, would defffo stay again :)

This hotel is in a really good location, facing the ocean and only a few minutes’ walk from Third Street and the Pier. The staff was very polite and friendly. I had a queen room at the back of the hotel on the seventh floor. It was quite small with a tiny bathroom, but very clean and comfortable. It was...

What a great hotel this was! The location was perfect. We were right across from the beach, 2 blocks away from a fantastic mall along with numerous blocks of shopping and great places to eat as well. The hotel was immaculate. Everything was incredibly clean. And most importantly the staff was FANTASTIC. Pete, Ignacio, Carlos T and the front desk...

The regular rooms are nicely updated while maintaining the quaint art deco feel. It was fun seeing old pictutes of the hotel and area. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. Location is ideal, you can walk to the pier, the promenade and venice beach. There was fun for all, adults, teens and my eight year old.

My wife and I stayed here in June for 5 nights and had a fantastic time!!! Rooms were clean, spacious and modern! The hotel itself was beautiful and the location was just superb!!! About 3 mins walk to 3rd street promenade and about the same time to the pier!!! Continental breakfast not the best probably would go for the a...

The position in Santa Monica could not be bettered really. Across from the beach and walkway to the Pier. Only a couple of blocks from the 3rd street prominade. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops and everything you may need. Staff good, bed ok, lifts a little slow, but this is an old hotel. Breakfast was average, also included in...

Went from the ultra modern Aria in Las Vegas to the Georgian. Despite the creeking lifts, small bedroom and lack of sound proofing we still enjoyed our stay in this hotel which is classed as "historic" due to its art deco front. The hotel is surrounded by modern buildings so it is a local landmark. We enjoyed breakfast sitting outside,...

Hotel was well located. Staff was very efficient and helpful. The pull out bed was horrendous. The room was spacious, but it was an older holel with anitque elevators, though they worked well. The room was nicley redone, but old. The bathroom was extremely small. Parking $23/night. Internet service was included, but worthless as it was so slow.

We stayed here for a Mother/Daughter vacation. The hotel decor is a modern art deco style, very clean and comfortable. We stayed in the King Suite and it was very roomy. The valet staff and bell desk attendants were very fast and service oriented. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, close to the shopping of the 3rd...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
