We loved this hotel. The hotel has a good atmosphere, rooms were nice and clean, with great beds. We woke up and rented the bikes in the hotel and rode on the Santa Monica beach. I wish we stayed longer.

Charming hotel, 2 minutes to the beach of Santa Monica. Very well supplied, iron, coffee maker, fridge, minibar and even beach towels in the cabinet. When we left, we forgot something in our room and the staff, very helpful, organized to deliver it to someone, who could bring it back to us.

This is a great, characterful place to stay, typically reliable for anyone who is used to Time Out recommendations. A fantastic position overlooking Santa Monica beach, a few hundred yards from the pier. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and well equipped, with thoughtful touches including a beach bag with beach towels provided. We returned to this hotel from the UK...

This was our first stop on our trip on the West Coast before heading of to Vegas. We stayed one night and it was great - arrived late in the afternoon after a long flight and were able to enjoy a great view while unpacking. Really close to Downtown and great restaurants. The staff are friendly and accommodating and are...

This hotel did an ideal job for me and my wife. It was our last night in America before flying back from LAX and we wanted a comfortable bed to sleep and a place to dump our stuff while exploring Santa Monica and it was perfect for that. In an ideal location (100m walk to beach) around 5min walk to...

Had read reviews so just expected the worst but I was pleasantly surprised :) staff were extremely helpful and friendly! Showing us a map of the area on arrival and they kept our suitcases all day on the last day so we could stay and enjoy our last day riding on the bikes through santa monica and Venice beach (got...

We paid extra for an ocean view and it was well worth it. The second floor (top floor) had bistro tables outside each room so you had a private place to relax. Only problem was ice maker did not work and fridge kept leaking so it was hard to keep our food cold. We went store and bought a cooler...

Location is everything! The room was average, and the room was a bit overpriced, but thats to be expected considering its location. Had an amazing view of the beach, also within walking distance of the beach.

Let me start by saying the room itself was actually okay. BUT...we checked in, got our room and while we were changing for the beach 2 other guests let themselves into our room!! THE GUY AT THE FRONT DESK GAVE THEM KEYS TO OUR ROOM!! They walked in on us changing!! I went to the front desk with the guy...

I was pleasantly surprised to walk into a modern looking room. Not sure how long ago it was refurbished, but the room was clean, simple but well styled. It was spacious (and I was in a party of 3 female adults sharing 2 double beds!) and well laid out. The bathroom was large, though a bench around the basin would...

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
