My husband and I flew into SFO & drove here to meet family & friends for a Wine Barrel Tasting Weekend in Sonoma Valley. It was a beautiful drive from airport and very easy to find hotel. It has a bed and breakfast feel to...More

Thank you for your stay with us during the Barrel Tasting and thanks too, for your detailed review. I am pleased that you enjoyed our turn-of-the-century decor and convenient location. As you mentioned, we do share our neighborhood with a variety of homeless...More
Our ac blew out hot air and they brought up a fan to help. The beds were not the most comfortable and they could definitely benefit from new pillows. So, overall, not a great night's sleep as we were overheated and uncomfortable. The continental breakfast...More
I love and old. But I do not love dated, dingy, and musty. The AC didn't work- we did complain about it, but nothing was fixed. The bedding and mattress felt and looked like it had been used since the 1950s. The bathroom was full...More

Go to the visitors' center in the Old Railroad Square district in Santa Rosa. It's in a park across from the Hotel La Rose. They have all the info you want for the entire area from Sonoma and Napa to north of Healdsburg with everything in between. Great maps as well.
Don't leave the window open, the hotel is located in a ghetto and the staff allows suspicious people to stay at the hotel. When I was there the floor smelled of marijuana. It's just not safe. Go someplace else.
