We were told by more than one tour guide and rideshare driver that this hotel is the only thing in the vicinity that survived both the 2017 and 2021 fires. I believe it because its pretty old. The rooms are actually quite spacious and have a patio or balcony. we had a suite- double queen and a separate sitting room with fold out bed we didn't use as it looked like it had seen better days. Beds were comfortable and had nice (if a little thin) linens. Bathroom had a bidet seat (not sure if this was because we were given a handicap accessible room or if this is a feature all rooms have?)
Biggest issues were a musty carpet smell we couldn't seem to ever get rid of, and key cards that kept malfunctioning.
Property was full of families with noisy kids on the weekend, if you are looking for a quite place, this probably isn't it. Free breakfast was good.

It wasn't raining. We were in good moods, until we found out at check-in that the information we received from this location over the phone previously was not correct. We had been instructed to make two separate reservations, one using rewards points, and the next day for cash. So that's what we did. But it should have all been put on one reservation, so we had a hassle at check-in. At night, a bunch of frogs were croaking in the field next door.
The front desk people always needed to check with the manager, so we assume they were new or otherwise inexperienced.
The GM Todd came across as being a bit full of himself. He actually told my wife that he's been in the hospitality business for so long that he sees a "red flag" when guests don't want housekeeping while they are there since Todd suspects a potential "suicide." Not making this up. What he said.
Since Todd is GM this place needs better management. The staff needs retraining after new GM put in place. The property has vast potential it cannot hit under current management.

I'm sorry that you had a difficult time with your reservations. As explained, since you wanted to use points for one night and a credit card for the other 2 nights, that required 2 separate reservations. Since that is the case, we did if fact need you to check out of the first reservation and sign and present your credit card the next morning for the second reservation. I'm so sorry that this was a red flag for me, but in my 25 years of managing hotels, I have never once had a guest call me 4 times, and call our companies guest relations department 3 times in an hour because they did not want to come down and sign a paper. We did not want you to move rooms or anything, just sign a paper. Our guests safety and security is our number one priority and if I offended you in any way I apologize, I sincerely wanted to make sure you were OK. I stand by my decision and would do it again given the same circumstances. The lady working that night is new and still training. She is an amazing employee and I am very lucky to have her, especially considering the current labor shortage. Your wife told me how much she enjoyed the frogs "serenading her to sleep" at night, glad you enjoyed them. Again, my apologies for any inconveniences and we hope to see you again.

Well accommodated,friendly staff. As soon as you reach out with a request,they respond promptly and more generously than expected. Chase,Tayside and Sean ensure that front end staff Monica,Trey,Kaelin are an exceptional asset needing very little direction as they are proactive. Housekeeping was good,but 1st day when my family visited,including my 5 year old nephew,we used the pool facilities. They were very good,but we took the room towels down,not knowing about pool towels available. Then we left about 1130am for the day. That night,the room was not made up,no towels for a shower etc.
A tip.. I feel that housekeeping should feel to clean up a room anytime after say 11am which is checkout. Instead,I see the staff early in the am but not much later. Do they only want to clean your room early like 8 or 9am.? This is a bit strange. I need to relax,especially after a long journey. Very tidy housekeeping the next day, however,when I asked for it. Room 421 could have maybe 1 more closet in the entrance. Only Closet in bedroom for all coats plus daily clothing etc. A bit strange,since the entrance is huge and just an open space. Check in and out are seamless, however a bit too automated. 2 on line prompts to pre check in are too early and too much, as tge weather was largely inclement and unpredictable right up to that afternoon of my drive there. Check out good,but one automated point. Once again,such as all too prevalent everywhere, an annoying request for tipping . I am very generous to staff,giving Xmas gifts,etc when not prompted. I do not need a robot to remind me of what I do naturally. Anyways a very good stay in all. As usual ,I shall return soon in a month or do. Nice work on your very lengthy reo. Hotel's Favourite
The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive, rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. They have a nice breakfast spread and outdoor patio and a beautiful pool. Easy parking and easy access to highway.

The front desk staff was very helpful when I called before booking, even telling me what comments to put on my reservation to be sure we got a first floor pet friendly room. I had to call a second time to make a change, and again, the phone was answered quickly, and I was helped in a friendly professional manner.
The room was clean, the internet worked well. I like the way the rooms all have back doors and little patios. Our room on the first floor was very convenient for walking our dogs. This hotel has a very reasonable pet policy, great areas to walk the dogs, and provides poop sacks and trash cans.
There are several restaurants nearby. It's not a touristy area, but more business/industrial.
The breakfast was excellent with eggs, potatoes, meat, fruit, waffles, pancakes, breads, cereal, etc.
My only disappointment was that the way the hotel is designed, the rooms don't have windows, as they have a 2nd door. This makes the room pretty dark, but it didn't bother us too much. The back yard access makes up for it! We look forward to staying here again!

Where to start…. Pulled up outside and first thought was “a BW plus that looks like an older motel that’s been converted to a BW?” Then you go into a really nice lobby where the staff couldn’t be nicer, especially the GM! How did we know it was the GM you ask? He was wearing a t~shirt that proudly says so. The rooms all have balconies with a view of the interior courtyard which is lush and green, the rooms are nice, beds are comfy and the rest of the room is updated. The shower was a surprise, not the usual weak spray that you have to dance around in to get wet like all the others we’ve been in.
The breakfast room was a big surprise, very clean which is the norm for BW Plus but the amount of variety of foods was the surprising part. I challenge you to find a hotel with this kind of variety, good luck because we’ve never seen it and we have been in many different hotel chains over the years.

The staff were very helpfu, breakfast was good and checking in was a great experience. When I mentioned that my wife was having outpatient surgery, they immediately lowered our room rate. I didn't expect that to happen. Hats off to Best Western.

My crew & I live on the raod, we are Diamond Hilton, Marriot Platinum and of course Diamond Preferred Best Western members.
The Wine Country Inn & Suites is a Pet Friendly outstanding property. Clean & safe, right at the freeway off-ramp from CA Hwy 101 with great free parking and a staff that treats us like family. Our travel is mostly business however, often my wife & I with our puppy boy (like our son) stay at this property just for our own wine country get aways. All rooms have patios & blaconies, lots of great resturaunts and Peets & Starbucks coffee within a mile or too. Starbucks right next door (open till 10pm). And, wineries galor within minutes. Also, they have a great pool area that is always warm, open and availble. We just love this property and you will too for business and pleasure.

Excellent hotel. This is the BEST Best Western I’ve ever been to. Really nice touches including tons of options for breakfast (anything you want really), warm cookies and tea at night time, (and super yummy high quality hot chocolate), goodie bag w yummy popcorn and a wine opener when you arrive, high quality lotions, breakfast room compost services (I don’t see this anywhere!) and recycling bin in the room (THANK YOU!), and very nice showers and quiet clean rooms with a full size balcony.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days for our 20th Anniversary. Shauna at the front desk was very polite and professional. Our room was located overlooking the pool. It was nice and quiet. Unless you had the sliding glass door open, you didn’t hear the freeway noise. The bed was comfortable. We were told that we wouldn’t have any cleaning service and if we needed anything just let them know at the front desk. Very accommodating when we needed extra clean towels and soap the first day. When we returned on Thursday night we noticed someone had come in our room and made our bed and left clean towels which was nice, even though we were told we wouldn’t have any service.

I think 6:30-10:00 am.
Probably not. I live a mile away from the hotel. I’ve stayed for a week at a time last year and this year, and there’s still a sign on the elevator that says temporarily out of service. I recommend staying at the Marriott Courtyard on the Square. It’s a very classy hotel for almost the same price. I give a five star for service and accommodations. I stayed there for a week in June, and I loved it.
We have a couple different types of accessible rooms. For rates and availability ,please feel free to call the hotel directly at 707-545-9000.

When my family was there in June, Yes, they allowed dogs. However, once we arrived, my daughter discovered that she would not be able to stay in a suite; that she had to stay in a regular room facing the parking lot and very close to the main drag. Recommend you call the hotel about room assignments & get that squared away ahead of time.
