Andrew was very accommodating upon my arrival. I spend most part in the casino but everyone that I encounter was nice & friendly. I love the location! Next time, I might try the pool and the other amenities offered. Overall is always a good experience even when I don’t win…it’s always a win with the staff I encounter.

Everyone at this Resort is so welcoming and nice. Our room was so clean and comfortable. The soap in the bathroom made your hands and body feel so soft. We ate at the food court and the hamburgers and pizza were delicious. A lot of table games and a lot of slots to choose from. Dealers at the table games were friendly and interactive not like at some casinos where they don’t even smile. Had fun. On the floor they made sure you were wearing your mask and when you came into the Resort they took your temperature and put a sticker on you so everyone knows you had your temperature done. It was fast and easy. We will definitely be coming back soon. Wished we could of stayed longer. Beautiful Resort Hotel by the mountains.

The resort is quite beautiful, with lots of use of natural stone in a wilderness setting. The guest room was large and well furnished. The in-room refrigerator, curiously, had a glass door and interior light that I could not turn off, so it was a bit disturbing at night. The shower is spacious, but would benefit from a better showerhead. The resort stands alone, there are no nearby shops or restaurants. While we stayed more than a week after the covid restrictions were lifted in California, someone forgot to tell the Chumash management. On checking in, we were told our room would not be serviced by housekeeping during our stay. There was no room service and the only food outlet open was a food court in the casino. Even there, when we visited for dinner, only two units were open; a Chinese Panda Express "wanna-be" and an overpriced hamburger joint. We tried the Chinese food, but it was really very poor quality and very disappointing. We never did discover a place for breakfast, and settled for the mediocre, non keurig, in-room coffee maker, but coffee pods were not replenished after day one. On checking out, I noticed a sign advising that the pool would be closed on Saturday for a private function. As a hotelier for 50 years that seemed quite unacceptable in a resort property. The bottom line, nice facilities, badly executed. I really, really do not want to make my own bed when staying in a hotel. It would have been nice to enjoy a romantic dinner as this was my honeymoon. On the plus side I was a $5.00 winner in the casino, but somehow that didn't make up for a very disappointing stay.

We canceled Vegas trip as Aria s spa closed and we felt better to be a 90 minute drive from home .We’ve been coming since ‘94 when they were in tent.
Rooms nice w balcony. Masks throughout and temp checks and sticker ok shirt allowed you on floor and pool area nice pool w only 6 at time pool. Jacuzzis closed. Did laps and enjoyed music and sun.
Willows fine dining restaurant good. Cocktails & wedge salad and lamb chops we split for our 38 th anniversary. Wait staff nice and outside dining. Limited video poker , only in non smoking room. Center bar video poker shut down. You can walk up and get drinks. Buffet closed as all are Calif & Nevada. Cafe closed. Grab go at “ Starbucks “
Snacks & soda & beer gift shop. Food court ( w eating allowed in Old bingo area tables concert hall.
Not great ; they have bbq, tacos, pizza , burgers , Chinese food ( like Panda Express) my brisket salty and greasy , wife’s tacos small meat grisly. My breakfast burrito not very tasty. In room coffee Wolfgang puck was surprisingly good. Wife lost $2000 that’s breaks . She won $5000 last fall when we came up for power outages in our neighborhood.
Wish they had better air flow for smoking. There were dividers between machines. Next time going to place with no gaming.

This resort is probably really wonderful without Covid restrictions in a normal year. However, the pool bar and restaurant are closed. The Buffet, the Café, are closed. Note, there is no breakfast on this property and they tell you that when you check in. You have to leave the resort to get breakfast. Of the five or so fast food places in the food court, only two of them are open all day. The other three are closed until like 5 o’clock. The pool is 21 and over. So if you don’t have kids, (and remember, this is a casino folks), it is awesome because there are no kids in the pool. So relaxing! You can bring drinks from the bar and food to the pool area from inside the hotel and casino.

The rooms are nice, clean, updated, And for the most part the beds are comfortable. We did have to leave room 447 a balcony room, for a room in the tower. The bed in room 447 is just too soft. It caved in so it’s really hard to roll over in the night and it’s just not comfortable. Also sidenote, if you book a balcony room the majority of the balcony rooms overlook valet parking in the front entrance of the hotel. It is noisy all night long. Plus your neighbors balcony is literally 2 feet from your balcony so if they’re up partying in the night you can hear everything. Actually you can hear everything from any balcony. I highly recommend the tower rooms, even though the windows don’t open. The rooms are a tad newer and therefore a bit nicer, IMHO.

We will probably come back after Covid when the resort amenities are fully functioning. The staff is perfection. They Are all wonderful and nice. Great for a weekend getaway. I don’t gamble and between the spa and the pool, it’s was a nice long weekend being leisurely.

We stayed overnight here in March 2022. Our room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the shower was large with shampoo, conditioner and body wash mounted to the wall. Check-in and out was quick and easy. The only down side was the smoking in the casino. The casino near us is now smoke free and it's so nice to be able to gamble without the smoke. This was bad, seems like 80% of gamblers were smoking. Other than that I'd recommend this hotel

The rooms were excellent and clean. There is a multi outlet on the wall directly under the TV which made it easy to connect my sons gaming system so he can play on the big screen. The balcony is a cool feature for the room to hang out with friends and family. Also I highly recommend you try out Willows restaurant! Very great food and service.
The downside to this place is that the pool area is not kid friendly. It is a 21 and up pool. So my 6 year old son had to stay in the hotel room most of the time. It is a Casino so children aren’t allowed on the Casino floor, unless you are trying to get to one of the many shops, restaurants, or stalls they have.
I do recommend for anyone going to this resort to go without children. Overall this was a great and relaxing experience and I cant wait to return.

My fiancé won a gift certificate for a room at a charity poker tournament, so we went for a quick Thursday night getaway. Definitely give the spa a try! The massages were great and we loved the hot tub afterwards that’s separate from the main pool area. The room was clean and looks to have been updated recently. We lost some money in the casino, but didn’t mind too much since we had a great stay :)

The service at the restaurant was excellent and the food was really great. We shared a bunch of the appetizers and left full and happy.

We’ll be back for another staycation soon!

We played at their former casino location years ago, and we were so pleased to see this new operation, it is really fantastic!
The rooms were lovely with all amenities, and there were far more slot machines than we expected, with all the newest along with the classics. The non smoking section was limited but it is nice that they have one.
The valet offered to charge our car at check-in and we were pleased to see there was no charge for this service added to our bill. The pool and buffet were closed when we visited.
The food court had great variety and everything we tried was really good. The staff were abundant and helpful, but they only provided non-alcoholic complimentary drinks to players, minimum $6 per drink/beer.
Will be back very soon!!!

We spent two days at the Chumash Casino Resort recently and had a great time! The room was fabulous and we loved the balcony overlooking the entrance. The mountains were wonderful to look at while drinking our coffee in the morning. COVID protocols were very well maintained and we felt very safe. Everyone was nice and friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the pool was booked for a private event and we were unable to use it. Since this was one of the main reasons we went and stayed there (as opposed to one of their other properties), we were very disappointed. I wish they could have put that on the website or something as I was checking daily to make sure they didn't close it due to COVID.

We ate at the Food Court for dinner one night and it was not bad. Only 4 choices of food but at least they were open!

We love Santa Ynez and there is so much to do and see around the casino. Make sure to explore!
