Just off Hwy 101 and south of Eureka is Scotia, formerly a company lumber town. The hotel still has the feeling of comfort and elegance. Each room is furnished beautifully in period style. Comfortable, with excellent staff assistance and nearby grocery and pharmacy. Tours of the mill is a must

Hotel is a good stop after you visit the Avenue of the Giants in Northern California. Basic, with charm and clean. We got an upgrade to a huge room with high ceilings and a huge bathroom, updated. Located in a quiet town.

Although we never made it to the Scotia Inn, they were very understanding of our situation. My husband caught a virus on recent trip to California and we were stuck in Oroville and couldn't make our reservation at The Scotia Inn, I called an explained our situation and they graciously cancelled our reservation with no penalty. We will definately stay...

We had a wonderful time. We stayed in a two room suite, TV in each room with bathroom and tub in the middle. Very quiet. Lovely clean rooms. The lobby area had antique tablets with board games setup. Breakfast was the usual coffee, juice, cereal, muffins, yogurt and toast Restaurant/bar on property serving excellent Irish cuisine. Heard it had a...

Beautiful old building in the middle of nowhere. Nice rooms, decent breakfast with good coffee, only complaint is that our room faced the street and was a little noisy. Still, a lovely night's stay and would return.

I am giving this review an average because there were some excellent points and some very poor points. The excellent points were the gorgeous, historic and beautifully decorated inn, all the pub staff was very friendly and personable and the continental breakfast included fresh fruit. I made my reservation online then followed up with a phone call to be assured...

We were pleasantly surprised and impressed by the historic preservation of the Inn. We had a two bedroom sweet connected by one bath that worked out perfectly for us. The room was clean and cozy. The reception...

On a road trip through the Red Woods we had a one night stay at the Scotia Inn in Scotia, California. The history of the hotel and the little town it sits in was fascinating. We stayed in a double room with period furnishings and quaint decorating. The structure of the hotel is beautiful, built in the 1920's. This is...
