Positives: Had log cabin feel. Plenty of space & extra folding twin bed in closet for those who need it. Free DVD movies, continental breakfast. Microwave & small refrigerator. Guy at front desk was courteous. Negatives: No A/C; Shower & pillow shams not clean. If you are a stickler for cleanliness, bring your own pillows, blankets & be prepared to...

We made an overnight trip to Shaver and stayed in the Miner's Suite with three couples and a 2 year old. The Suite itself was just amazing. Beautiful sink countertop in the bathroom, rolling doors, trap door in the kitchen. Every room was decorated differently and the beds were comfy. We used the BBQ outside to BBQ chicken and made...

My stay was for work. Arrived on a Wednesday after a 5 hour drive. Went to turn on the TV and nothing happened, went to the office and the desk person immediately went to my room and took care of the matter. I also asked if they could copy all the material in the notebook in the room, it had...

I so loved my stay at Shaver Lake Village. I have always went camping there, but never stayed in the hotel. Best trip ever. The staff are amazing. I plan to go again this year... I loved everyone there.

Had a really nice stay in the bear cabin. It was clean and cozy, perfect for Christmas week.its a 1 bedroom with a day bed, coffee maker, little refrigerator and microwave. We brought some firewood and enjoyed a nice fire in the fireplace which helped keep the cabin warm, but the wall heater worked well too. The staff was very...

I went here in October during the off season. The place was very empty. I didn't see any tourists and the market next door was closed. I should have brought my husband or a friend because after seeing b-big scat on the trail, and a little ways from the cabin, I didn't want to go exploring alone. However, the air...

My fiancé and I stayed in the "honeymoose" suit for two nights. We had a great time! The room was very charming and cozy. We enjoyed the fireplace and nice sitting area outside. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We liked that it was within walking distance to the...

We found Deacon rat killer underneath our bed. Obviously there's rats in the room if you have Deacon out. We also noticed something white on the base of the ceiling fan. After getting a closer look it was a floss toothpick and toilet paper jammed in it like a shim. If that wasn't enough we were kept up all night...

Wow.....another tough review to respond to! First....our deepest apologies! Although we did receive AAA's highest ranking for cleanliness of our rooms, I'm sure we make more than our share of mistakes. I don't know how to even respond to the floss in the fan issue. I have no idea how that would have gotten there....or why we didn't catch it....

This is not a uptight, high-end chain hotel with room service and a day spa. This is an awesome place to get away with your family if you like to relax and go with the flow. We rented the Cowboy cabin with my two boys. We got in late on Friday night; but had no problem getting into our cabin....
