Detailed Reviews
We stayed in this hotel for one night and had a good night's sleep. The location, on the edge of town, isn't a problem, it's only a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The negative about this hotel is that breakfast is served on polystyrene plates and with plastic cups and cutlery. Once you've finished, everything then goes into the bin, nothing is washed up and reused! We were a bit horrified. Solvang, however, is beautiful and well worth a visit. We went to Gainey vinyard and paid $15 each for wine tasting, which was great.

I don’t think there is a bad location to stay in Solvang since the main town is pretty compact. Upon arrival I was informed that there was no breakfast. It was only a continental breakfast but there was no price reduction. Other places give a food credit or provide wrapped snacks. As in many places there is no room cleaning daily. This is not a problem except trash removal or a place to put trash would be helpful. There was 1 trash container near the front of the property. It is also an inconvenience to have to ask for more coffee each day. The room was OK. Hard flooring would be nice as the carpet was old. It was nice having a comfortable chair .

This motel is small and judging from the outside it needs a little paint and TLC. The room although basic was very clean. The headboards on beds, make the room feel very outdated. The room had a small balcony with a small table and chairs, overlooking pool area. The rooms face other rooms across the way, which I felt odd because you can see people in rooms, so I closed the curtains for privacy. I was happy there was flooring and no carpet. Our room was facing street, but it was not noisy, which was a plus. There was a small fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. The TV was a flat screen. We were able to relax and have a goodnight's rest. Parking was free. The lobby needs renovation, so it looks more welcoming.

We spent 2 nights and had 2 room for Dec. 29 and Dec. 30, 2021. Melissa at the check-in desk was very efficient and very friendly. The lobby was decorated pretty for Christmas. While the room was clean, it was very out-dated and rundown. There were places on the wall that were repaired with plaster and not repainted. The heater was hard to operate and did not give the temperature. When we came back the second day, our room had not been cleaned. The bed was unmade, the towels were still laying on the floor, and nothing was refreshed and replaced. We even had our Maid Request sign hanging on the outside of our door while we were out touring for the day. I went to the lobby to report our room was not cleaned and they told me they do not clean the rooms for stay overs. We were not told this at check-in. I requested fresh towels and the young gal said she would bring them right away. We waited over 30 minutes and no towels so I went to the lobby and requested them again. A young man told me she must have forgot so he brought them right away. We did not have any clean drinking glasses for Day 2 and had to request more coffee for the coffee pot in the room. We paid nearly $600 for a two night stay for one room and were hugely disappointed. We did not getting anything even close to that value and price. We did not get what we paid for!!!!

The man at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The room isn’t bad, the beds were comfortable, the room smelled good, and the bathroom was sufficient. One of the reasons we stayed there is because we saw a beautiful continental breakfast with danishes advertised and there was nothing! Also, the front office does not open until 9 AM so I had to find a housekeeper and ask her when the breakfast began while my family was starving in the room. At over $300 a night you would think they would provide some sort of breakfast foods! I will never stay here again!

The man working the front desk was very nice and put us in a room on the first floor with sliding doors that were close to the pool. It was very convenient since my 8-year old wanted to swim. The hotel is on the outskirts of town, but a short walk to the shops and restaurants of Solvang. The jetted tub was nice to have!

The rooms were very small, beds very comfortable but very dissappointed in the quality for the price was high for what we got. The rooms were renovated, but you could see the oldness especially around the windows, very rusted out frames. Old cabinet. So low toilet like a swattie pottie. Got hot water at the end of the shower.

Very comfortable room and very good service, short distance to down town. Good pool size to enjoy on sunny days, very quiet area at night. In the room there is a coffee machine and it is very convenient, in addition to the microwave and refrigerator, a comfortable bed and beautiflor pillows.

My daughter and I got to the hotel late and checked in. When we realized I couldn't get into the room with my wheelchair, we went back to the front desk and no one was there. We had to move the bed to be able to get into the slider among other pieces of furniture. I was so upset and tried to talk to someone in the morning. No one was there and the office was locked like the night before. I was so bruised from having to get around the room. The bathroom had no bars on the toilet. There was one vertical behind the toilet to get into the tub/shower. I couldn't get to the sink and had to remove a towel bar to get to the sink to wash my hands. It was an abysmal experience. .

OK motel. We arrived and the woman at the desk was beyond friendly and helpful. Our room was oddly located with a "balcony" that opened up into the hallway and main stairwell. This meant we heard every person going up and down the stairs (no elevator). Light came through this sliding door as well since it was the main walkway. Pillows were quite uncomfortable. No breakfast provided, but there was coffee in the room if you wished to make it. Location was fine. We probably wouldn't suggest walking with kids, but it's a close drive (I believe this is the last motel on this end of the road).
